SWSS here from the Volunteer State!

I own more guns han my MIL likes, but she has no problem shooting any of them!
I work for Smith&Wesson Secutiy Solutions - yes, THE SMITH&WESSON, no, I cannot get you any killer deals, but i might do some trading on my bargain purchases...

Over the last several years I have noticed my patriotism rise as our country sinks. I love the freedoms we enjoy and it is truly the land of the free because of the brave!

I have been in various roles of national security and law enforcement but now i am enjoying the "fun" of it, if you will.

I see a lot of information here and look forward to gleaning some.

I am currently trying to complete a research study for my masters program. My study focuses on concealed carry laws. I have a simple questionnaire that I am hoping people will able to fill out and return to my email address at the bottom. It is completely confidential and at no point will anyone's personal information be asked. I look forward to seeing some of your responses.

Hi from Alaska! I don't know anything about this site other than a string of arguments about COP 357 pistols. Does anyone know how to get into the action and clean it up? It looks like there's a pin on the backstrap than can be removed for disassembly but I wonder how hard it is to get back together? Thanks, RScott

A good reserach study guide on this subject is the latest edition of Jon H. Gutmacher's book: "Florida Firearms Law, Use & Ownership". Published by WARLORD PUBLISHING, it is the authoritative guide that explains Florida & Federal Laws on firearms, weapons, and Self-Defense issues. It describes everything about Concealed Weapons Permits, civil liability and insurance issues, what you can and cannot legally do to defend yourself, and much, much more. Hi, I just bought my first handgun, an XD .45 5" tactical. Just the other day I burned through a couple hundred rounds for the first time And I noticed that the trigger pull is soooo tight and it causes me to pull instead of squeeze and it effects my aim! I'm sure I can get used to it eventually, but is there a way to adjust this?

Just want to say hello and introduce myself. I have been reading posts here for some time, and have recently realized I should join. I am from Wisconsin, and we just passed concealed carry.

It has been a long time coming. I am still waiting on a permit. Thanks for all the info I have gleamed so far!!

Hello,

I first handled guns when I was 17.
The first pistol I shot was a .32 ACP Browning M1910.
The first shotguns I took down were a Browning Auto 5 and a Browning O&U.
The first old pistol I refurbished was a 8 mm Roth Steyr M1907.

Hi I'm new here but I love the site. I have just started reloading that's how I found this site to begin with. I shoot a little of everything but right now shooting my. 40 and teaching my boys to shoot that's where the reloading comes in.

New to this forum, long time shooter and gun 'accumulator'. I like the 1911's and .44 mags. I am partial to Colt products, but respect all the good products. I have over 300 hours training with LFI. Shooting, hunting and guns in general are a major interest.

Hi,

Living in ********** (or ************ as some of my friends call it) makes it very challenging to be a gun collector. I like odd, unique guns that, by their nature, also happen to be hard to find. Among my trophies are a Phillips & Rogers Medusa 47, Mateba Unica 6 in .357, and Model 1908 Schwarzlose blow-forward pistol. I am currently in the market for a Dardick 2000 or 1500 and an 8-in barrel & shroud for my Mateba.

I've been a long-time lurker here and recently decided to join. Don't own a single gun but hope to quite soon.
Grew up in a family of hunters but I don't hunt. Great firearms training and respect from uncles and grandpa though so I know my way around decent (read: safe).

I have places in both Texas & Hawaii. I shuttle back & forth.

Don't get the wrong idea, not rich, these are pretty low rent digs. It's just my work that takes me to both places.

Love Hawaii for the climate and scenery, love Texas for the freedom (climate & scenery ain't bad either --- when they aren't on fire).

Prior service military & was a cop in El Paso 30+ years ago.

High School + college in Texas.

Got a varsity letter for being on the school rifle team, back when there were indoor ranges underneath the school stadiums where we fired real rifles (do they do that anymore?).

Partial to Ruger revolvers (carried a Security Six as a cop) & 1911's, AR's, Garands, Springfield '03s.

Been a motorcycle rider for most of my life. Still ride almost every day.

New guy from Komifornia. Joined up for the information. NRA member, CPRA member, currently own a Mosin Nagant 91/30 with the ATI monte carlo stock, Mossberg tactical 702 plinkster, and will be picking up in 8 days a GSG-5 SD and a GSG-522 PK (love shooting .22lr). Future purchase plans are to pick up a 1911 and either an SKS or start an AR build, though I can't decide between .223 or 5.45x39.

Fiending for a Mosin-Nagant next, if I decide not to replace my sold Remington 12ga. Being a guitar/bass/drum enthusiast helps me love firearms with sweet wood finishes, so I'm eager to get another shoulder arm. Too many tools, so little cash!

Took my 15 year old son to a local Gun shop in Bardstown, KY to go Xmas shopping for him. Was looking for a .223 or larger since we already have 2 Marlin .22lr in the house.
He seen in the "instore" ad the 91/30 Mosin Nagant and wanted one immediately. $80 bux for weapon, bayonet and cleaning tools. Not a bad deal at all.
Now I'm considering getting myself one so I don't have to wait for my turn to shoot.
