Did you cut the magazines yourself? I'm planning to do this to one of mine as well. You might want to consider affixing a sheet of thin lexan or something to the back side of the grip to keep debris out of the magazine and magwell.

There's something I plan on doing eventually, I just need to get a gun with wood grips again.

Why are we allowed to own cars that can go over 100 MPH? Who, besides the military and police, needs to have a race car? Many people die each year from race cars, we don't have a need such high powered cars so they should be banned. Those that own race cars think that they are Vin Diesel and are dangerous to society. |

just sold a gun to buy a gun, finally got my 2nd 1911 and i LOVE it! just picked 'er up yesterday
![]() got some ajax grips for it too, they contrast yet match with my other 1911 quite well, which is high-polish stainless with dark blue and black marble panels. the 'spots' seen are actually reflection of a leopard-print sheet that we use as a tapestry-like lampshade for my living room ceiling... I will take better photos soon with better lighting, snapped these off real quick when I got it home ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

This could very well be quintessential people's 1911. I was pretty impressed with one and I'm no 1911 guy. No integral rail to mount combat light and or laser designator may in fact make me pass on one. I'm still thinking about getting it.
