Anything made by Glock. Just read too many bad reviews and heard of too many problems with them

The only gun I wouldn't buy is one I couldn't afford. I love my Glock, my RRA ar, my two Hi-points (380 and the 9 carbine) and even my little Jennings J22 goes bang everytime! I was anti Hi-point until threads like this convinced me to give them a try, and that carbine is now one of my favorite plinkers!

@ S&W657

I also have a Jennings J-22, I never would have bought it, a friend of mine convinced a friend of his to 'get rid of it,' and I'm glad he did because I'm told he has 'anger problems' and should NOT have any sort of firearm due to being prone to make bad decisions. Me being a gun-guy in a mostly 'anti' State, , I was the lucky new home for this little jennings orphan. You say yours goes bang every time, makes me think we are lucky with the Jenningses we ended up with, because I hear mostly nothin but bad things about 'em, but with the right ammo, mine also goes bang every time and is lots of fun to shoot. I can even fire it so fast it sounds like a string of firecrackers going off Also, it's definitely the loudest .22lr I've ever heard! I still would never buy one (lol, hope that makes this post relevant ;D ), but I like mine alot one thing I must say is I would NEVER use it for anything but recreation, and I urge anyone who has one to NEVER carry it chambered for any reason whatsoever! Carrying one chambered is asking for a .22 sized hole in your clothes or body imho

oh yeah, I named mine "Peter Jennings" x-D
here's a vid of six rounds as fast as the slide will cycle, what you can't see in the vid, is I insert the mag into an empty gun, then I put it in my pocket (no round in chamber of course) and then draw from pocket racking the slide once it's aimed downrange

GLock! You people got to be kiddin me. You may not like the looks of it or what it's made of but it feeds everything you put thru it and keeps on going. Did you guys ever own or shoot one? A Glock will out shoot most autos out there right out of the box. Yea you may get a bad one now and then but it's odd if you do. Oh well to each his own.

It's the trendy thing to say. People are tripping all over each other in a race to say it first.

We don't like Glocks either: Don't like how they (17, 19, & 23)
feel while shooting and don't like hearing how easier it may be to have untended discharges

In a 45 ACP (or in a slim compact 40 S&W) I want a quick thumb safety: I prefer 1911-types or H&K.

I owned a keltec p11 for a short time. I didnt care for it at all. soured me on keltec stuff. I have a heritage rough rider 22, it got wet on a fourwheeling trip, and by morning the supposedly 'matte' finish was completely dissolved leaving a rusted spot the size of a silver dollar on the barrel. at least it retained its title of a beater gun.

I won't buy anything that won't function with black powder if necessary (excluding my Ruger Mini-14).

I think the only gun I own that's not mentioned is my Colt revolver. No wait, someone doesn't like revolvers. I think the only thing I wouldn't buy would be the cheap autos like Hi Point and Jennings, and the like.

Never again.

Dunno about the M&Ps honestly but my past experience with their autos was horrible.
Texasrifleman has it nailed really, S&W semi handguns - the only pistol you buy when the bulk of your day is to be spent pulling a trigger through what feels like oatmeal, and that's what they consider a good one when it rolls off the line...

I remember being advised to buy Colt semi-autos and S&W revolvers. But after I bought a Colt revolver, I never bought another S&W anything.

I'll never own another Taurus (and I traded the one I had). From what I've experienced, they make shoddy guns, their repair service is ineffective, and their customer service reps can be very condescending and rude.
