"We don't like Glocks either: Don't like how they (17, 19, & 23) feel while shooting and don't like hearing how easier it may be to have untended discharges" IMO, GLock is on of the most safest pistols. 3 safeties and the last final saftey, No trigger pull, Gun wil not fire. Like it has been said before by Shadez. Not really needed to say/type again, but I felt like posting.

Easy one for me, those old military guns like Mausers and the like. I see them as nothing but tomato stakes. If I could figure out how to do it my Icon would be a picture of a garden with Mausers stuck in the ground and tomatos tied to them.
I can't see why people just don't save their money and buy a real gun. And I realize we all don't have the same likes. Last edited by joed; February 20, 2012 at 11:51 AM. |

I could understand one or two old rifles like those Muasers and Mosins. But entire collections? Not a ton of value I would think and there are so many new guns that can be played with.

Rhino revolver, just about the ugliest oversized thing I have ever seen.
Other than that I have learned never say never, but Taurus is on my very bad list from previous experience. |

When someone mentions what is considered to be a reasonably nice pistol in the context of "never buy", my curiosity pegs the gotta-ask-why meter. I have one, and I wouldn't sell it or trade it for anything.

Their similar appearance is the nature - and primary benefit - of the rifle. No matter how it's configured or chambered, they all work the same. It's kinda like Microsoft Windows. It presents a common standard user interface that allows the user to be instantly familiar with it.

Probably anything that had any amount of rust. I have a high tolerance for taking care of your guns. If I had to pick a new gun, it would probably be an ak. I would take one, but would never spend the money on one when I could get a gun with a receiver similar to a garand.

If the guy I was responding to said "the 1911 platform", I would have let that go because it may have been an ergonomic reason which encompassed all 1911's, but he singled out Springfield, so I was curious as to why he would say something about what is widely considered to be a 1911 of reasonable quality made by a company with a history of decent customer service. I could even understand not liking the Sig 1911 due to its external extractor and wider slide, but the Springfield 1911's are standard 1911s, just like everyone else's. |

I do not have a "Do Not Buy" list. If I have any doubts about it functioning in a life or death situation I stay away. I have probably missed some buys but if it is considered a Saturday Night Special I would not take it on a bet.

Revolvers that shoot shot gun shells, I just don't see the point. I have a shotgun for shotgun shells.
Revolvers with no hammer, just looks really. Of course I wouldn't turn one down if I was given one, just wouldn't buy one is all.
