There are a lot of things about the NRA that I don't like, but it is the
best game in town for protecting our gun rights. I was never so proud
as when I became a life member of the NRA. I implore all of the forum
members that can to take advantage of this great offer. You won't
regret it.

Today is it!

When I did mine last night, the person on the phone verified that the offer ends 3-2-12, aka TODAY.

I just called today and was told only the vouching member can gift the $300 life membership. The sponsor has to call with your name/address/magazine choice. They would not use the information that was sent to me via PM. The lady on the phone also informed me that there was no current deadline for this offer.

Sounds like they are having a bit of miscommunication at their call center.

I called at 3:15 Pacific yesterday and had no problem. I think they use a after-hours call center who is instructed to TAKE MONEY. I'd call now!

NRA Lifer

I have been a life member since 1998. What do i get for it?
Pride of being a member.
I also know when I contact my Senators, or Representatives, I always let them I am a life and voting member of the NRA, and their answers to my questions will determine how I vote for them. I also keep up their their voting record on gun issues and the Second Amendment.
I would suggest to anyone that is thinking about joining to go with the $300.00 offer. I got in on a quarterly payment plan, back in 1998.
I was just an annual member for several years, and finally made the jump to full life status, I no longer have to worry about keeping my dues current and get my American Rifleman magazine, and subscribe to other NRA publications in electronic format on line.

Woo Hoo, just signed renewed under the $300 life membership plan with PT92's info posted member number earlier. The lady (Diane if I remember right) said the deal is still active. I used the 703-267-1000 number and asked for life services, the 1-800 number posted earlier in this thread was disabled.

Thanks!

Absolutely fabulous! The more members the merrier anytime but, in particular, during a CRUCIAL Election Year. Great timing as well considering that the NRA holds their National Convention this coming weekend in St. Louis.

-Cheers

I thought that the life membership offer expired at the begining of last month. If the offer is still active are there any members here who could sponsor me?

I signed up for life membership today using Longknife12's membership #. Thank you very much Longknife12.

I called the 703-267-1000 and told them what I why I was calling and waited on hold for about 15 minutes then told the second person I was calling about the $300 life membership. He asked for the sponsors membership # and then asked for my membership # and took my credit card number. The whole process was very easy.

Thank you again Longknife12.

Plz read the thread and you will find ALL of the necessary information you will need (if the $300 offer is still active?).

Good luck as we need all the new members on any level we can achieve.

-Cheers

Did anyone ever find out if a person that is currently paying on an extended life membership can take advantage of the $300 sponsored life membership?

I currently have paid in $291 towards my $700 membership

I guess this deal ended in March but............I know jusst a "noob", what a weasel!

I think it is safe to assume he did not want to deal with you and only asked the simple question "what do you get out of it". Extremely easy to answer, which the answer is if they can "earn extry money".

NRA certified instructors, affiliated clubs, independent businesses, and dedicated members who are already participating in NRA membership recruiting. This program provides a great opportunity to not only strengthen the NRA by increasing membership, but also to earn extra money at the same time!

Here is a link to the list of discounts that applies since some people have asked.

Also: NRA Membership Benefits

You will get a choice of LIFETIME subscription to American Rifleman, American Hunter, or America's 1st Freedom,

Life members receive $10,000 of Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage at NO COST to you. Law Enforcement Officers, that are NRA members, killed in the line of duty will have $25,000 in coverage.

$2,500 of ArmsCare coverage with your NRA membership. This plan covers insured firearms, air guns, bows and arrows against theft, accidental loss, and damage.

The most important benefit of NRA membership, however, is the defense of your Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
