Hickok45 has a good video on this gem and it was just featured as well on "Impossible Shots" with Julie Golob. I have become increasingly interested in all-things .22lr of late (very easy on the 'ever-shrinking' bank account).

Just picked up a Sig P938 as a pocket pistol (waiting on the Mika holster), and a CMP M1 carbine. Have a Cooper Montana Varminter on order, and am looking at picking up a Shiloh Sharps in 45/70 next month. Do I win?

I bought a Model 700 in .243 Win today. Walnut stock, wood is a little scuffed, action and barrel look good. Tasco scope and see through mounts $325. It is a good base to make my wife a good shooter.

I picked up a FNH FNS 40 today. I can't wait to get out and run a few rounds through it. I also got my Kimber Solo back from Kimber today. I also plan to put it through it paces to determine if they were successful in getting it to function properly.

Just picked up my Hk MR556. I haven't had a chance to shoot it. It might be a couple days, due to my back aching from the trip. I hope to give a review soon.

Basket case K98/48:

It's got some issues, but the price was right. Oh, and I got half of a cartridge case with it. Only problem is that it's still in the chamber.

Franchi Superange. Shouldered it at DJ's in Bothell, WA, and it came home with me. Just like that.

I snuck out to the Houston gun show and came home with a new FNX-40. $562.88 out the door.

I sure enjoy seeing what all everyone is buying. I bought a Glock 26 gen. 3 today at Cabelas. Had a tough time deciding whether to spend the extra 80 bucks for the Gen 4 mod, 26. They both felt equally as good in my hand. I picked up an extended mag giving it 2 extra rounds over the mags provided giving it a 12 + 1 capacity. It looked clean enough to shoot right out of the box, so my wife and I shot half a box (was getting dark and cold) of 115 gr, Remington FMJ. It shot very well with no issues. We both love it. We also shot my wife's Kahr CW 9. They are really pretty similar in size. Kahr is 8 + 1 with extended mag over original 7 shot mag. I really wanted them to be that way so we could pick either up and hit something with and not have to refamiliarize ourselves with a totally different gun. Here's some pics comparing it to the Kahr CW 9 and my Glock 36 .45cal.

Thanks for looking.

Yeah, I know, but after Friday, I think this time I was right to rush. I hope to rebarrel it into my old favorite round (.257Ack) in a year or so as finances allow.

Happy Holidays to you as well!

The Glock 26 will be my next handgun purchase (specifically looking for another CCW piece to complement my Kel Tec P11). I originally (gosh almost ten years ago now --man does time fly by) purchased my P11 also coincidentally at Cabela's because I wanted an affordable high capacity 9mm and at the time it was the smallest made hi-cap 9mm handgun on the market and still is in the top three size wise). I still use that fine reliable KT P11 to this day and really outside of being a gun aficionado have no real "reason" to get another handgun but the Glock 26 has always 'struck my fancy.' Glocks impress me because they are like indestructible tools that just happen to fire bullets with no "looks" (subjectively speaking) as opposed to other "lookers" I have in my modest collection (1911's, 92's) that IMO are much more aesthetically pleasing but arguably more "complex" mechanically speaking and perhaps not (debatably) quite as durable in terms of the 10K+ rounds arena.

Congrats to you & family on a great gun that I have absolutely no doubt may be/come the most 'liked' handgun you've ever had. Also, the pic comparison is great!

-Happy Holidays

My new toy...

Remington 700 ADL Varmint....

I have purchased a Nikon Buckmaster and Choate USS so far.

Need a bi pod, and some good rings. Maybe a new trigger a few hundred rounds from now.

Just ordered a Beretta 92A1. Needed a full-size handgun with a light rail, and I liked the M9.

Windham AR15.
I had traded a Stag AR15 for an 1896 Krag Jorgensen and had to replace the AR15.

Pietta Colt 1851 Navy cap and ball revolver, .36 cal. .375 ball with 24 grains of black powder won't frighten an intruder, but the smoke will choke him out.
