Alabama21, I can't speak for cvharley but I can tell you that I don't think they are "turning you down" it's just that they don't seem to (apparently) all be on the 'same page' in terms of the Life Membership for $300 Plan. Honestly, I've been a Lifer for ten years now and I have never heard of such a thing (previously the lowest Life Membership I have seen offered was the periodic Christmas-time $500 special). I agree with you though that there does not seem to be a 'clearly defined Life Membership $300 'advertised' Plan available and honestly I can not believe it's still in effect--that said, as long as it's there let's do it!

I would also welcome the opportunity to change my current NRA membership to a lifetime membership. I just donated $100 to the ILA but I don't think that's enough given today's environment. Merry Christmas to all THR members

I upgraded from Life to Endowment for $250 earlier this year. They send out the offer every spring just before the NRA Annual Meeting. It also gave me better seating at the Annual Meeting events.

Hey everyone! I haven't been on THR all year. I volunteered the last 3 years for this, and I sure as heck will do whatever I can in a time like this. Is the $300 deal being sponsored over the phone this time? That's a LOT easier than the past where I had everyone mail me checks.

Is there anything I can do to help on THR?

9 pm is the call-in time for member services - the $300 deal has not been discontinued - don't know that it ever will be.

Call 'em, folks - some folks need to understand that there's a LOT of us out here that care, vote - and WILL NEVER FORGET.

OK after calling 7 times between last night and today I finally got a lady to sign me up! Once I received my membership number and paid we started to talk a bit for a few minutes. I mentioned to her that I had called 6 times prior to this call and had been told on each call that the sponsor had to call in for sign someone up. She couldn't believe this and wanted a bit more information regarding times and if I remembered any of the peoples names who told me this. I supplied her with rough times and 4 of the names I had written down. She said she was going to take that information to her supervisor and figured that all the call center agents would be updated about this program. Hopefully this works for others who will be calling in!

btw.. thanks to PT92 for his info and I was asked to say thank you on behalf of the NRA for sponsoring others in.
