Witch Doctor,

PM Sent.

However, note post #689--it looks like a sponsor (as we speak) is not required.

don't bother with a sponsor. Call direct. I used a sponsor then called the 800 number to find out when I would be offered a member number. Five business days the lady said. I should have just called but that info appeared just after I requested sponsorship (thanks !) but I recommend everyone just call.

Just made the call and joined the ranks of Life Member.

Everyone that can afford to pony up with the $300 needs to do it now! TRUE FREEDOM hinges on the 2nd Amendent and the NRA is far and away the most powerful champion of the right to bear arms.

Step up and call 888.678.7894 and have your credit card ready. No sponsor needed and it only takes 5 minutes.

I signed up as life member per post #689. I'm good to go assuming this wasn't a massive scam :-)

Is the phone number listed in post #689 legit? Is it a scam from an anti-gun group so that people believe they are signing up at the NRA? Is it a legit NRA # (doesn't appear to be). Could it be a NRA recruiter who will get a recruiter fee for each new member signed up?

I called earlier this week to confirm the upgrade to Life. The person on the phone asked where I had heard of the $300 upgrade and I told them a friend on THR. I told him NRA Life membership was all the talk here and they thanked me for following through with the upgrade.

Maybe they are getting the point that we ARE on their side and willing to support. I've been passing the 888 number out at work as well today.

Let's keep it going.

I'm curious if that number is legit as well before I start passing it around. I'll call tomorrow (today) during business hours. Did anyone who called that number get a name? Was it someone in Fairfax headquarters or Florida membership center?

I had the same thought as I was speaking to them, however they did have my information and read it back to me for update.

Still interested in hearing what you find out as they have not yet charged my credit card.

This is still valid today? Does anyone know if they will do split card purchases? I'd like my daughter to be able to enjoy her rights the same way I do know when she is older....even if most of my family wouldn't. lol

Thank you pt92

Thank you so much for sponsoring me for the NRA Life Membership. I signed up last night using the link www.nra-2013.org and it was quick and easy. I called this morning to make sure everything was correct and verified my membership. $300 is 70% off of the $1000 regular price so I just couldn’t pass it up. Thanks again to all of the sponsors on here assisting people.

My packet finally came in the mail yesterday!

Now I get to pack the card that says "Life" instead of "Annual".... satisfying.

Thanks PT92!

A question for anyone who has tried- is this offer good for a minor- 7yo? Thought I would ask before upgrading in case I can get my son on board.

The NRA is just another organization that can set its own membership requirements thus being a minor should have no bearing unless he tries to order one of the wine specials. Call the number (if you can get through) and ask the question.

"To my sponsor, Thank You !! How long after signup does it take for me to get assigned a membership number? I completed my checkout several hours ago now and it seems like I'm in limbo !

I moved from 'Annual' to 'Life' last year and it seems as though it took about three weeks to get the new stuff... I called and verified I was good about two weeks into the wait...

Yeah--The key variable now being the same situation as with NICS (friend today had a 45min wait which is down from last week's 1hr+) in terms of a HUGE influx of new Members (YES!) so it "could" be a bit longer wait for the official snail mailing...Nevertheless, welcome aboard new Members!

Thanks PT92

Newest Life Member here. Thanks PT92. I called the (888) 678-7894 number and they didn't even ask for a referring Member. Done in 5 minutes.

Thank You Sir!

Indeed--We have tried to advise of late that sponsorship is not required at this time which even further expedites the Life Membership process.
