Ironman

I'm a new member here, but I'm old everywhere else. I'm a long time gun owner, old enough to remember buying guns by mail with no FFL involved. I have both handguns and rifles, even two shotguns. The handguns and rifles are shot regularly, the shotguns not so much. This is the first site I've joined, and it looks like a good one.--Steve(I also do blacksmithing, hence the Ironman)

Hello from Pa

Hi everyone, I'm new to the site although I have been on here lurking before. I am retired (recently) and will finally have some time to do a lot more shooting. I have varied interests in firearms, actually I love them all. I am probably mostly what you would call a long range rifle nut, I have a State Arms 50 BMG and 3 other heavy barreled rifles. I reload for all my guns including the 50 and a bunch of pistol calibers. Ive been reloading for 40 years but I learn something new everyday. I hope to learn some things from others on the site, and share any useful knowledge I may have with anyone.

Hello from Colorado

Just joined this evening, having occasionally lurked here for a little while. Bought my first handgun late in January, and am awaiting clearance of my background check (apparently had to be resubmitted, so its going to be over two weeks from purchase to delivery).

My new addition will be a CZ P-01, oddly enough, a gun I actually had not fired. I had tried a Glock 22, a Sig P226, a Springfield XD, as well as a couple others. I ran into the P-01 at a show, and immediately liked how it felt in hand, and decided to go for it. After doing some reading that evening, it seems like it was a pretty good choice, Im looking forward to getting it out to the range hopefully this week sometime.

Hello from Oklahoma. Been reloading off and on for 30 years. Just started back again. Due to lack of ammo, I will be loading 9MM,40 S & W, .260 Rem.,.223 for AR and bolt gun, and .338 Lapua Mag. Just about to get it all ready to go. Glad I found this site. All have a great day.

How yall doin?? Joined last month but have been referencing this site for quite a while. Im a young guy (20 something) who has loved firearms my whole life. I have been shooting for about 8 years and i enjoy collecting historical rifles. I have traveled extensively and have been to numerous ETO and PTO battlefields. My prized possession is my SA M1. I recently have spent a lot of time in Kwajalien Atoll working, and have made many trips up to Roi. Because of that, I have also been to Truk, Guam, Saipan, Yap, Normandy (all beaches), Caen, St Mere Eglise, Pt du Hoc and lots of other Atolls and islet nobodys ever heard of! Safe shootin!!

Hi all,
I was fetched up in northern Minnesota, hunted ducks and deer, occasionally pheasants in the south (MN). Lived in Cal, Montana, Washington and Oregon. Life member NRA (68), ATA (90) & PITA (90). Started reloading when I got out of the US Navy in 63. Shot crows with a rifle (.270 W) & 220 Swift). Shot handgun silhouettes for a few years. Shot mostly trap for about 20 years. I am just now getting back to rifle reloading (and shooting). My grandson just got is Hunter Safety card, and I plan to help him get setup, and learn to shoot correctly.

New Guy

Hey folks,

New guy here, both to the forum and firearm ownership. I've been lurking here for a month or so after coming across the forum during my interwebs research into an appropriate handgun for home defense, target shooting and possible future carry. A couple of recent break-ins / home invasions in my area finally moved my wife to agree with me that having a firearm in the house might actually have some merit. So yes, I guess I contributed to all the recent panic buying. At any rate, after a lot of deliberation, research, and handling in local gunshops, I decided on a Gen 3 Glock 19, which I brought home last night. Figured that now I actually have the gun, I better sign up and check in here.

Grew up in a house with no guns, and really had no direct exposure to firearms until about 10 years ago, when I was trained with a shotgun for wildlife depredation as part of my job at the time, in airport operations (which I never had to put to use). Since then I've been to a range a couple times with a friend to shoot his Kimber 1911 with a .22 conversion kit and an S&W M&P 15-22. All that is to say I have relatively little firearms experience.

I'm looking forward to getting some professional handgun training (as is my wife) as well as learning as much as I can here.

Thanks,

TT

Hello.

I missed this thread at first so this is my second post. I have a long interest in guns, although a late starting one (my first experience shooting was at clay pigeon when a friend invited me to join him and his father at the age of 18). I'm forced to admit after a few years of enjoying the sport I was married and became involved in a volunteer position that involved carrying a gun. I sold the couple I owned to buy my carry weapon and for years viewed shooting as a bit of a chore required to pass biannual qualifications. Now I bought a rifle from a coworker and am finally getting back into it for fun again. I lurked the forums here for a while before joining. With all the info I've gained from the Rifle Country section I only hope I can do some contributing of my own soon.

undeRGRound on The High Road

hmmm... Sounds like a contradiction!
But this is the path I always try to take. So I had to join!
Looks like a great forum, never did lurk, but it just seems RIGHT!
Interested mostly in CCW issues here, as I equate High Road with
responsible carry, but I also like Long Guns.

Got an AR right before the latest tragedy caused prices to spike
and a sweet Savage 110 in .270 Winchester, for cheap and a
couple sweeet 9mm handguns an M&P 9 and an LC9 w/laser

Hello all.

I've landed on this forum from Google many times over the years, often when looking for NFA info. My interest was more academic than practical. I always found this form and the information here to be of a pretty good quality.

I just executed my trust and will be submitting 2 Form 1s and 2 Form 4s in the near future (next week for the 1s) and figured I should join.

Quick question about the rules:

Just ran into this site today. I was doing a little looking around and some reading for about 30 mins but honestly I felt "right at home" after the first 5 minutes. Great site!! Great members!!! I love long guns mostly but I am partial to a few hand guns, but nothing beats a good "tack driver" and I am happy to say that I own a few of them.

Question regarding the Circuit Judge 410/45

I recently purchased the Judge and I can not find any specs on it. As in, what's the best .45 round to use with it, what's the accurate shooting distance, could it comfortably take a Buck or Hog down? I've never hunted before so, I'm hoping I made a good decision when purchasing this gun.

Hello, we are new as a commercial dealer to THR and hope to provide THR members with hard to find firearms with the current buying frenzy going on. From time to time, we will also post exclusives only for THR members.

We are vet owned and we have a vet first policy. We strive to hire vets whenever possible and we do FFL transfers for free for vets, first responders, and LEOs.

We never price gouge. All items posted are currently in stock and will ship within 5 business days to your local FFL. If you live in South Dakota, you can also pick them up at our shop.

We have a steady supply of Arsenal AK Rifles, Shotguns, and Pistols. We have a large shipment of milled and stamped AKs on the way. They will arrive in about two weeks. All of our retail postings will be where they belong in the commercial dealer trading post forums. Thanks.
