I never thought I'd see the day when Dillon had 4-6 week backorders.

Dillon's are considered by many to be the Cadillac of the reloading industry and many choose to buy a lower-priced competitor's press or dies. For them to be stocking out and back-ordered like this is a real sign of the times.

There is a local gun store/gun range out my way where I like to shoot. They sell Dillon. They were pretty much out of stock on everything, but when I went in there today, they had like 4-6 (maybe more) 650XL's some 550's, some case feeders, a stack of Akrobins, dies, caliber kits, wrench kits...you name it. They also had a single lb of W-231...

The guy said they put their order in around December.

I ordered a 550b and 223 cal conversion a few minutes ago along with a SM and a few other things. I already have a lot of reloading gear. I've been reloading for several years with a Rockchucker. I finally decided to upgrade to a progressive.

I'll let y'all know when it arrives.

The majority of my order arrived today. I already had my 9MM Dies which came within a few days of my order. Today my 650XL, case feeder, strong mount, low powder sensor, spare parts, maintenance kit, spare parts kit...and I think that's all.

Still waiting on wrenches and pickup tubes.

My original order was placed Jan 31 on www.brianenos.com.

Still waiting on my .223 carbide die set from Feb 8. I guess it doesn't matter all that much. I am still waiting on powder and primers as well from other sources.

On Jan 4th I ordered a 223 case gauge, 550 tool head, powder die and a carbide 223 die set. Got everything except the die set on Jan 10th. I called dillon that day about the dies and they told me I should get them in 3-4 weeks. Has now been 6 weeks and still nothing. Guess they didn't know just how crazy it was going to get.

The guys that are ordering from Brian Enos:

Are you notified at all that your order has shipped?
Is the order shipped in a Dillon box or plain brown shipping boxes?
Was your card charged when order was placed like the website states?

I will be placing an order for a 550 soon.

I can't speak for now, but I have ordered 2 RL550, tool heads, powder measures, dies, etc from Brian in the past. I have always received a email when shipped with tracking #. It should come in a Dillion box from Dillion.

See inline comments.

>>Are you notified at all that your order has shipped?
NOT if it ships directly from Dillon. Anything Brian ships himself you will be notified.

>>Is the order shipped in a Dillon box or plain brown shipping boxes?
Dillon Boxes

>>Was your card charged when order was placed like the website states?
Card charged within a day or two of that the order placed.

>>I will be placing an order for a 550 soon.
Awesome, you will enjoy it.

He couldn't provide one when I ordered due to the sheer volume of orders he and Dillon has been receiving.

I was out of state traveling and he personally checked my order status each day so I could arrange pickup. When I got back in town I let him know so he didn't have to continue with the hassle. Hell of a nice guy to go the extra mile.

Brian is a very nice guy. Best of all if you spend $400+ he ships free. That was my deciding factor when I purchased my first press, and extras there after.
