Don't have the reloading stuff set up yet since I just built this up last weekend. It's deeper than it is wide and makes use of the only space in the house that is all mine. The other end of the "room" is the same size and will have a large shelf for ammo and a gun rack. What else you gonna do with a cement closet that's 30" deep and 12' wide?

That doesn't look nearly wide enough to work comfortably. But I also understand that you work with what space you have.

Hey Matno how sturdy do the plastic parts of your bench kit feel? I've seen these and was always curious about that.

Think "Glock" strong. I'm quite certain the shelves and bench surface could easily hold a few hundred pounds each. $69 on Amazon for the kit (not counting wood).
As for space, it's really not that bad. Yes, it will be a little cramped once I put my progressive reloader on there, but I'm skinny and have long arms!

Here I put some ammo on the shelves temporarily until I get the other shelves built. Still haven't decided if I'm going to put an extended lip on the front of the bench to mount the reloader or just get one of those reloader stands like Dillon makes.

Looks good. I started with a small space. My bench was about 2.5' wide. I loaded plenty of good ammo in that space so its definitely doable. You work with what you've got!

I just started after Christmas, and I have already 'had' to move and improve my work area. I did leave some room to grow this time at least. the taller bench is for cleaning/tinkering and case trimming, the little one is just for loading.

I feel bad now; I was worried about feeling cramped when I made the bench

I like that you have two benches. I wish I could do something like that, but I do have a rather large desk in my office.

It's evolving. I actually have a very large space in the garage for a big workbench (don't have one yet, but we've only been in this house a few months). I mainly wanted that closet as a secure storage space for guns (don't have a vault door yet, but it does have a heavy metal door and I'm adding a heavy duty deadbolt). However, I think it would be nice to keep all my shooting related stuff in one place, hence the reloading bench. Also, I don't like my reloading stuff out in the open, and my garage door gets left open a LOT (not by me...) I think it will work fine for my limited needs. Mostly working up accurate loads for my .308 & .300 win mag, and cranking out cheap 9mm cartridges. If it gets too crowded, there's a fairly large storage room next to it I could probably use unless my wife decides to make it into another bedroom...

Amen. I've seen that problem first hand. My dad thought he was getting a huge safe. He now has that thing crammed so full it's hard to get anything out, and he has at least 10 guns that won't fit in it! Not worried about that happening with my "vault" though. Might be too small for full scale reloading, but I will always have enough room for guns. However, as long as I still have 6 kids at home (the oldest is 11), I will never have enough time (or money) to do a lot of reloading...

Hello all........new guy here been thinking about reloading and lurking for a while (stealing ideas

....I just finished for the most part my reloading/gun room. I semi-finished my one room, tiny 13x13 basement, it came out pretty decent I guess

this is what I started with

now time to learn to reload finally....not sure that Lee Pro 1000 is for me?.....I tinkered with it for a while yesterday for the first time and seems fairly mickey mouse and inconsistent?....I may have to get a Dillon or something and sell it

Is that a functioning ventless gas heater. I like your room but as a Hvac professional I would get rid of that heater. They scare me.
