ITP Revolver Holster Opinion

I got my Hoffners Kydex holster for my Smith and Wesson Model 60-4 3 inch 38 special with adjustable sites in the mail last night. This is the second Kydex holster that I have purchased. The first was a Blade-Tech paddle holster for my Colt Gold Cup. I bought it from them in 97-98 time frame and have really liked it.

I was referred to Hoffners by members of this forum, and I liked the look of the “Extreme Revolver Holster”. I ordered it on Saturday and got it in the mail on Friday. I like the quick service.

The Good

The design is super comfortable. I like the fact that the trigger is covered and it is super light weight.

The Not-So-Good

The tension screw would not loosen up enough to allow the gun to be either drawn or placed in to holster. I completely removed the tension screw and a bit of rubber hose that protects the guns trigger guard from the tension screw. I then put the gun in the holster and took some boiling water and poured it over the kydex that covers the barrel. After reassembling the holster it works perfectly.

Over All Thoughts

I would purchase a holster from this company again. I have had holsters from Mitch Rosen, Milt Sparks, and Blade-Tech, and while the Hoffners holster needed some slight modifications I think the design is solid and it will work well.
