Silhouette rules?
I've looked my peepers out, but I can't find (online) the official rules for NRA rifle silhouette. I'm particularly interested in the rifle classifications, what's legal, what ain't, etc. Can anyone point me to this, or summarize it for me here? Also, if anyone can tell me what most entrants compete with in smallbore "light rifle" or "hunting rifle" classification, would help. I'm more of a practical sort, rather than a gamesman, if that helps.
Thanks in advance.

Didn't take me long to find a few "Rifle silhouette forum"s out there. Found this one, slow moving but its new: http://www.graybeardoutdoors.com/php...aa6b25b57e18d3
the BEST place to get the rules is from the NRA. www.nrahq.org or 1800-nra-3888 and ask for a Rifle Silhouette rulebook. Every competitor should have and know the rulebook. Kepp it with you at matches, too!

Thanks, Steve. I checked the NRA site before posting, but was unable to find the rules posted. I know I can order the book, but it seems like they oughta make 'em downloadable.
Keep 'em coming, please...

After the research that I did for you it was apparent that Highpower Rifle is much more "net established" than any of the other NRA disciplines, except for maybe Bullseye Pistol. There are a lot of good HP forums and soem of the guys worked together to have a website with the official rules, but that doesn't seem to exist for Silhouette. Your sport is waiting for someone to do it. The NRA doesn't put all the rules stuff on the net, as you know.

Thanks, Steve. I'm gonna blunder on into a smallbore match this weekend and just watch. That'll learn me something.
