The Official Holster cross-compatibilty thread.
What fits what? We all know that some holsters will work quite well for guns that they weren't designed for. From my personal collection this is what I have found so far.... Just about any holster that was designed for a Glock 20/21 will fit all other Glocks. (leather AND plastic) Some might be loose, some fit perfectly. A Don Hume 715 IWB for a Glock 29/30 fits quite a few other pistols like a SW 3913 Milt Sparks 55BN made for a Sig 2340 fits a SW 908/3913 like it was made for it. Holsters designed for an Officers size 1911 will hold a PPK, Sig230/232, or similar very very well. Safariland open top mag holders for a SW59 hold single stack 45acp mags perfectly. What's in your collection that fits multiple firearms? Inquiring minds want to know.

Most holsters that will fit a Sig 239 work just as well for my S&W 3914.

Full size Beretta 92 rigs can fit CZ 75s. My Galco paddle for a Sig P229 fits my CZ PO1 quite well....

A g17 slide will hold a Walther p99 (like it was made for it). A threat solutions UCR for a Glock 17, will hold a G 20, and also a Wather p99.
A ruger slide holster will hold a 9mm or 40 USP. |

A summer special for a Govt. Model will fit a BHP.
A blade tech outside the pants kydex holster for a 1911 will fit a BHP. A pattern 44 Flap holster for a BHP will fit a 1911, a commander, a .40 BHP, and a CZ-40.

Can anyone tell me whether the Kahr guns fit snugly in a 1911 holster? Slide length is obviosly a problem, but how about otherwise?

Ive never tried it but i read that the Bersa Thunder (.380) fits perfectly into holsters made for 3" 1911s. Someone on the bersa forum tried this with a really nice high end holster and it worked quite well.

Kahr K9 does fit 1911 holsters. Not sure about safety straps, but they vary with hammer and holster manufacturer anyway.
Bianch IWB Pistol Pocket for Walther PPK is perfect for Colt Challenger, including strap. Bianchi Pistol Pocket for Colt Detective Special perfect for 3" S&W Model 36-6 (full lug), and presumably for the similar Model 60 3" full lug. Just got a beautiful Bianchi 6" #5BHL for S&W K-frame that's not all that tight on a Model 10 with standard hammer, but fits my Colt 6" HB Official Police just fine. |

Interesting about the CZ75. I'll have to look at those Beretta holsters because CZ ones are about impossible to find in the stores.

Interesting thread.......be careful when crossing over leather.....if its got good retention then cool. Id hate to have your gun end up on a floor somewhere...
CZ holsters are getting more common, most makers do make them now. Shoot well........

Of course J-frame S&W holsters usually work fine for Taurus 85, 605 and similar and K-frame/L-frame holsters usually work with medium framed Taurus revolvers.
I have heard (but haven't tried it) that holsters for the compact (or sub-compact, not sure) Springfield XD .40 work great on a Taurus PT140 Millenium Pro.

But my S&W L frame won't fit into my K frame holster. Cylinder is to fat.

My El Paso Saddlery holster for a Glock 30 fits my Bersa FireStorm .45 nicely.
Also know the Vega holsters for the Glock 26 & 27 will work well too. If anyone knows what leather holster will fit a Weirauch (EAA) Windicator snub-nose, it would be appreciated. -38SnubFan

Ruger P345 with rail fits into Galco or Bianchi HK USP compact; thumb strap is not very snug though, if equipped.
P345 also fits well into Galco pancakes for Glock 20, 21 even with fairly tight thumbstrap. I think it is a better fit than HK USP. Then of course you'd go for it if you are in a hurry because costwise it is basically the same as to get a High Noon specifically designed for P345. -P |

Two more I just found. Sig P229 fits nicely in Glock 29/30 leather AND Sig 2340 Leather.

Galco Silhouette for the Sig 228/229 fits the Glock 19. The thumb-break even works. I would guess that the 23, 26, 27, 22, 17, etc. would also work. The glock sits differently in the holster but is still secure.
