Wink .25ACP vs. .50AE

Which gun would be better for CCW? A berreta tomcat in .25 ACP or a desert eagle in .50 AE?

I would recommend an arquebus over either....you just can't beat that uber reliable matchlock for shear "don't screw with me"attitude....easy to conceal as well with the breasplate, conquistador helmet and falchion.

Thats what we need!! A CCW course for "The Art of the Defensive Falchion"...or halperd,or war hammer...Hey,we could be onto something here!!
my prediction:Renaissance era clothingSwiss Guard style shall be the new Tactical fashion.Maybe we can sell the concept to 511.

Carry whichever one you shoot best, of course. Shot placement is key.

You guys are all schoolgirls. Everybody in my hometown CCWs an RPG-9 with a bayonet on it for dealing with BGs.

You really need two Desert Eagles to feel safe, preferably gold-plated.

That said, the Jetfire is the perfect nostril gun.

.577 Boxer... Because it's bigger around than 50AE so it MUST be more effictive.

I prefer a good heavy mace for when you absolutely, positively have to smash everyone in the room... accept no substitute.

Why not combine the two? A 50AE necked down to .25! The best of both worlds!!!

Screw 'em both...here is my carry piece...it prints a little but if I blouse my shirt a little it just disappears.

Oh, by the way, I don't worry about shot placement.

Yeah, you just have to make sure you're aiming for the right zip-code, and you're set

Of course, we all know that all of the above mentioned calibers pale in comparison to the almighty .45, mayJohnMosesBrowningrestinpeace...

Go with the .25, but make sure it's ported to reduce the hard recoil

A snubby .50BMG revolver. I think Taurus makes one. It probably comes with a ported barrel too.

I'll second you that. If i only need a little CCW piece then I carry this:

With small and handy rounds (and it penetrates body armor too )

If I feel threatened, say marauding BG-s in neighbourhood, then it's time to move up to heavier punch:

If to be serious, then you need 2 DE-s, both chromed or golden, so you can use them Chow Yun Fat style

Well from my research found in the 1950's the Switch Blade was the gangbangers weapon of choice. In fact or streets were running in blood from their easy advailabily and lack of control. I mean Chief's of Police from all over country were calling for their band a long with conserined citizens. It took years but DC findly held hearings and out lawed them. People today will drop just as fast from a switch as they did in 50's In fact the sight of one will send most BG running For the Switchblade is the weapon of a pro. A Man or a women not to be messed with. So leave those silly guns that run out of bullets, in the store and get a good Switchblade .

Most popular answer number one --- a 1911 in .45 ACP

Most popular answer number two --- a Glock

Well, considering you can carry a concealed .25 Berretta around in nothing more that a bathing suit - I'd say the .25 is the best CCW choice.

Unless your normal attire is that like of "Bozo the Clown" (or I suppose some baggy pants "Rapper") - a .50 caliber "anything" is going to be a hassel to cover up.
