USPSA rule changes

Fair is fair, let's pick on this sport too. Personally I'm pretty happy with it. What would you change?

I figure the biggest gripes from those that want changes will be the scoring. It's really pretty simple though and it works.

Personally I'd like to see the IPSC Modified division take hold in the U.S. but that has zilch to do with rules.

Cool division, comps ok, optical sights ok, must fit in the "limited box" though. A neat bridge betwixt the spaceguns and the iron sight guns.

Not gonna happen, then it would just be Limited 10. Production is for people with DA guns or Glocks who don't have a mint in large cap mags. Limited 10 is the same. All done in an attempt to return part of the sport to its roots of using "practical" guns. Over generalized, but you could call Production as written for Glocks and L10 written for 1911s.

Heck, I'd like to shoot my Browning HP in production, maybe I'll get a DA/SA model just to be different. I think the all minor rule in Prod. also encourages the use of factory ammo or at least to make it competitive. No need to mess with .40 loads to find one that just makes it. In short, its a 9mm division. If you want to be competitive with the .40 just work up a minor load and put light springs in the gun. Ought to shoot like a real powderpuff.

I'd like to see a "New York reload" Division; know what I mean?

I like pretty much like it how it is.
All the divisions gets a little funny sometimes. When there are only 5 people shooting Production at a major match kind of takes away the prestige, for me, of being top gun. For instance that person gets recognized with the names like Rob Leathem and Jerry Barnhart. Not to take away their honor and hard work but its just not equal. Its getting better and I think its our job to get more people involved. It is the funnest handgun sport by far.

Yep, me too. Also, I'd like to have a class besides Lim10 to shoot my stock 1911 in Super 38. I can shoot poor enough on my own without being scored minor.

Ah yes, .40 cal minimum for Limited and L10. If that goes away and the G34 and BHP will be shooting limited and making major.
