I have an air-conditioned workshop, but I recently decided to build a small mobile reloading bench for priming and weighing charges (in the comfort of the indoors, where I can watch TV, et cetera). The bench is large enough to accommodate a press, and will likely end up with my Rock-Chucker for bullet seating at some point, but I doubt that I will endeavor to move prep, deprime, and sizing operations upstairs (it's just too messy and loud).

It looks that way in the pic, but the bolts will actually be going through about 5" of wood, as it goes right through the top of the inner support 2x4.

As of yet I havent tried it, (construction delays)... So the jury is still out

I made a 2 foot long mount with 2 - 3/4" pieces of plywood. I bought one of those 2 foot wide folding tables and clamp the plywood mount on the table when I want to reload in front of the TV.

My R/C room converted to reloading...

Built the rolling table and now may build another without the caster...

Works REAL well for me

I bought a rolling work bench with casters and there was too much instability when operating the press.
I ended up removing the casters but the bench is no longer mobile. Glad it works for you.

Hey JDMorris, what about static electricity issues with your bench tops covered with that covering material?

I don't really have room to mount a bench anywhere so I made up this portable unit out of some scrap lumber I had around. It's heavy (about 40 pounds) but still portable. I can even take it outside and decap/resize or prime (I use the Lee Ram Prime) on a nice day; I suppose it could even be taken to the range should I have the need. I have a separate storage area for brass and other components but this is where the actual work takes place.

Here's a pic taken after reloading 50 rounds of 9mm last night:

Haven't had any static issues so far.. Didn't really think about it being a danger..
Huh.. I've spent plenty of time at that bench with no problems.

the H&R forum was being overrun with stickies, so they consolidated them by making one sticky thread with links to the used-to-be sticky threads. now this thread rarely gets any posts.

I have lurked here on and off though never registered. Been shooting a few years now and always looking for ways to be able to shoot more for my money. My uncle has been reloading for decades and set me up one night to load up a couple boxes of rounds and I became hooked and knew I'd have to save up my pennies and get my own press setup - being able to shoot more and it's therapeutic, can't go wrong!

Anyways, figured a pic of my setup so far would be a good first post here. Picked up a Hornady Lock-n-load AP and some accessories to start out with a couple weeks back. Over the labor day weekend I finally got around to picking up some materials to put a bench together. Ended up with a couple 24" unfinished oak cabinets, some 2x4's and two sheets of 2x8' 3/4" plywood for the top and a 2x6 under the front portion of the plywood where the press will mount. I'm in Wisconsin and wasn't too keen on having my equipment sitting in the garage and I rent the upstairs of a home so I figured the kitchen was as good of place as any since it's huge anyways

Here it is so far, still have to figure out what I'm going to do for extra storage along the back along the top of the bench but given all the great pic's of all the bench setups here I'm sure I'll have no problem coming up with something.

Very nice Jcredman.

My current, very humble loading space is in a spare room in my barn. I will be moving into a new house in the next month or so. I will have a storage room in the garage to transfer my equipment into, slightly bigger space. I'll definitely be scouring this thread for ideas, lots of stuff to go through on here!
