Thanks Starship1st,
No pics, yet. That is one thing I am going to do is to start taking some photos. I enjoy pictures too. I can shamelessly shill for the the "Garand Guy" though. Mine looks like his pics. http://www.garandguy.com/issuegrade.htm I bought a "Super Premium Grade M1" with a Criterion barrel before he had to raise his prices. The reciever is a Springfield Armory made in 1943. All the critical parts are spec'ed out and reparkerized and with a new stock. It is basicly a new rifle. But, Mr. Giacobbe can make a brand new, just out of the wrapper M1.

Hello from South Africa
Hello all, my name is Jim (Screen name is "ndlovu8") and I've been lurking around this excellent site for a while. I live on the east coast of South Africa, in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. We have a small 1000acre game farm and also a drive-through safari park. I carry a Glock 27 fulltime and also have an Astra.44mag, 30.30 Winchester and Franchi 12bore semi-auto.
This is an interesting place to visit

Hey folks thanks for having me. Retired cop and life NRA member here, residing in the seacoast area or NH. I have my part-time dream job working at a large firearms retailer, hence the handle. Not to be confused with a subject by the same name that apparently has a less than stellar reputation on some auction sites.

Remington 1187
Hi all,
I live in the Dallas area and I am new to this site. I enjoyed reading all the discussions on shotguns. I am mostly a bird hunter that occassionally goes deer hunting. I have a slightly used 1187 that I bought last year and found to be shooting about one foot low. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this? Please help as dove season is right around the corner. Thank you.

Hi All,
Found this site while doing a Google search about gasmasks, and somebody had posted here about that. Have enjoyed working on, shooting, and hunting with guns my whole life, and also restore old guns and engrave guns. My wife hunts and engraves as well. Ka'imiloa is my Hawaiian name and the name I go by. We now live in Arizona. Aloha, Ka'imiloa |

Before I change anything on the gun, I would try different brands of shells and get your patterns on paper at different distances.
You might find just the right brand that that gun likes. Also, make sure you are holding the gun correctly and that you are not yanking the trigger. Have a friend load your gun and not load it, but not tell you whether it is loaded or not and try shooting. See if you are flinching or yanking the gun in some way (when the gun is empty and your friend is watching you pull the trigger ).As always, TREAT EVERY GUN AS IF IT WERE LOADED! |

Hello! I have been reading the site for a while, but finally decided to join.
Shoot mostly rifles, especially rimfires(Cheap ammo, you know). Want to get in to pistol shooting. |

Hey! I live in North Georgia and I have a Bushmaster M4, a Ruger 10/22, and a Mosin Nagant 1891. And I am working on getting a pistol. Maybe a Sig or a Glock. I am an absolute HK fanatic as well.

New to conceal and carry.
Old to guns, hunting and shooting. Today I bought a Kahr CW9. For my carry piece. (I own 3 Ruger handguns!! Not sure what happened here!!) To go with my new CCW permit. I enjoy Deer Hunting, target shooting and plinking. I also enjoy in depth discussions with those that think we should all be unarmed peasants and vegetable eaters!!! I live in Southern Minnesota!!! Actually in the rabid liberal capital of Minnesota here!!!

Welcome to THR, stick around and enjoy the healthy debates and different viewpoints with one common denominator: We appreciate guns!
Some might say we love guns! Others may argue that statement... ![]() Again, Welcome!

I'm retired and obviously have an interest in firearms. I have several pistols and a few rifles and shotguns and enjoy pictures, information and banter related to various firearms.
My state is also interested in firearms and would love to collect all of mine so I'll probably hang out in the political forum. Also thanks to my state, I've become more of a collector than a shooter and definitely not a CCW. Regardless of my signature, I have no affiliation with this site; just a lack of imagination dreaming up a user name .

Hey everyone.
Obviously i'm here because I like firearms/weapons. I collect knives and guns... I mostly have rifles (mostly bolt/lever) and shotguns. All my handguns are revolvers, except for my Mark I. I'm looking to gain more knowledge on semi-auto rifles and pistols. Thanks! |

Welcome to the Newest Members.
I'm Steve, and I'll be your tour guide today.
In General Gun Discussion , you find LawDog, and he runs around in a Pink Guerrilla suit sometimes and plays air "tulips", sings, and gyrates his hips. Do be sure to check out links to "LawDog Files". We recommend you not drink any liquids while reading. I'd recommend some other sub-forums and reading, just I know from experience once folks read LawDog... They are not able to handle anything else for awhile. *grin* |
