Mornin folks!
My name is Brian and I live in Wilmington, DE. I grew up target shooting from an early age and have recently gravitated back to shooting after a long break. I was fortunate to attend a high school that actually sanctioned a competitive target shooting team (I actually would bring my own rifle to school on the bus for meets - and this was as recent at the late 80's!
)At this point I've joined a local range that enables me to rent unlimited handguns. I am shooting everything they have in hopes of finding the one for me. Right now the Beretta 92 is in the lead, as I am drawn to the allure and the appeal of the 1911 way of life ![]() I look forward to the dialog! |

Greetings one and all. Mousiecat here, new member in the house. 61 years,
construction inspector, bitter clinger, my brain thinks like Rush Limbaugh talks. Right now, I'm having an oxycontin grade headache plus an ulcer over the election so I'll use this site for rest and relaxation and leave the politics behind. I own many guns and it is a passion and a continuing fascination. Living here in Los Angeles makes it a safari to get out to where you can even hunt a rabbit. So, most of my hunting is in my mind. The rifle range is closer, only 55 miles. I love to own and possess firearms. I love to shoot 'em, clean 'em, reload for 'em, etc., etc. I love swinging open the door of my gun safe and there they are, lined up at attention like a company of friends and soldiers. Twenty long and ten for the hip. We're ready for the revolution and I hope it happens before I have to attend in a scooter chair or a walker. Right now, to start off with, I've got a problem and I need some help. Just bought an Enfield Mk IV, No. 1 conversion to 45-70. Seller said that it had some feeding problems and might need some work on the magazine. That was a slight understatement as the magazine is totally unmodified. So, here is my specific starter problem that I'm throwing out to the group. I need: 1. A fully modified magazine ready to start shootin'. 2. Plans or directions to enable me to do the modifications. 3. An expert who knows this subject and can shed a little more light. That's about it for now. Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

Hi all. I am new. I am 35, currently living in Central Florida. I grew up hunting with my father and I am now getting back into shooting.
I have a handful of old shotguns and a Ruger .44 Carbine. I have a couple of ranges pretty close to me and a gun show about every month near me. My current obsession is the Ruger (which I have not actually fired in probably 20 years), and I am considering finding a used 10/22 for "fun". Anyway, Hi all! Seems like a pretty cool place here. |

Just signed up. I live in Kyle, TX, near Austin. Ex-Army; Field Artillery, and Cav. Have a a few rifles, and a Mossberg 500 for hunting; and a small Colt Cobra snubby for home defense.
New to Texas, so I'm trying find out where to hunt and shoot in the area, as well as where the good stores are. Ammo's so expensive here, I'm thinking of taking up handloading this year. |

Just registered - wanted to say hi. I live in the PR of NY, and, up until a few months ago, shot mostly trap, skeet, and sporting clays. I recently managed to obtain my (suffolk-county restricted) NY carry permit. I've wanted to get into handgun shooting for a while, and so I've been heading down to the range frequently for the last few months. I've been lurking here for over a year now, and finally signed up. Looking forward to getting to know some of you, and continue learning from you.

My name is Rusty, and I'm a gun-aholic. I live in Long Beach, CA. I recently stumbled on this site from another gun site, and I like what I see already. I've already received a welcome from someone who recognized my handle from another site, and even though people have different ideologies and opinions on here, it seems like they are less dogmatic about them and are generally more respectful to other people's opinions. The High Road, indeed.
Attn: U.S. Government, I own no guns, and would never think of doing so. But if I did, my gun collection would look an awful lot like: (2) Coharie CA-94s, (2) Doublestar AR15s, WASR-10, Ruger 10/22, Sig P-6, Glock 36, Hi-Point CF380, Yugo M59/66, Winchester "Defender" 12 guage. |

My name is Andrew; US Army Infantry and Law Enforcement. I've been hunting since I was about 6. I've harvested; Dear, Alligator, Wild Pigs, Black Bear, Elk and all kinds of small critters. Not really into the sporting thing, I eat everything I shoot; except vermin (people included). Firearms of choice; Marlin 30 in 30/30, Mossberg 12ga, and Marlin 60 in 22lr. Hi
As you can tell by my username, I'm a female from Fla (Tampa area). I've always been a gun owner (12 o/u dad gave for graduation). Started shooting skeet at 16. I love it. After years away from it I just started getting back into it. ![]() My hubby and I (17 yrs of marriage) decided in the begining of this year to purchase handguns and start going to the range. I have a Beretta 92 FS INOX and my carry pistol is a Springfield XD 9mm SC. I've been reading posts on here for a few months. Lots of good info. Keep the great info coming. |
