Hi (:
Hi there. I'm pretty new here so I thought I'd introduce myself.
My name is Jen, I live in Wisconsin, the land of Doyle, so unfortunately we have no CCW here. I had high hopes for the election but, well, not this time I guess. I recently purchased a 1911 (Kimber Eclipse) which I love. In the near future I'm picking up a nice AR-15 from a friend, and I'm very excited about that. I'm enjoying my time here on these forums - lots of friendly people and good info. -Jen |

Not exactly a new member, but. . .
I have rediscovered THR after registering a couple of years ago and never doing much on with it. I'm a semi-retired, 50-something, living in the most confiscatory gun-hostile state in the union -- California.
I have no particular preference when it comes to shooting. I love shooting Glocks and 1911s and own several of each. Put a 12 ga. shotgun in my hands, and I'm a happy camper. And possibly my favorite long gun of all time is my M1A. Never get enough of that one.

Greetings
Found the site looking for information on a concealed carry gun. Liked the place, decided to stay. I have a couple of hunting rifles and 1911-A1 for self-defense. Now training for CWP.

Hello THR,
Still relatively new here, so I'll post. Just started getting back into firearms boards again after a long break. I like the feel of this board, so I visit/post here more so than TFL (no offense to them, btw). Just here to learn, maybe answer a question or two if I can... I did not have anybody to mentor me or "teach" me guns, so a lot of what I know is from boards like this. I have a modest collection of various rifles and a couple of revolvers. Thanks for having me.... |

First Post
My name is ALACHARGER, and I'm a gunaholic. It's been two days since I last bought a gun..........sorry, wrong meeting.
Been shooting and collecting guns for 30 plus years. Wife gave up years ago on limitin' my toys...just rolls her eyes when I come in with another one. Found out about THR from a couple of friends. Do a lot of lurking, but I'm quite capable of jumping in on a thread I find interesting. |

The-Fly;
Nope, we are allowed to own AR's I bought that one a few months ago. Its a Colt Sporter II Lightweight. It looks a bit different than that now. It has a Troy MRF-C 7" rail, a holosight, single point sling, and a vert grip. |

Hello! Let me introduce myself.
I am currently a student in NE Washington State. I did 5 years active duty in the Army. During which I spent some time in Korea, Uzbekistan, and Iraq. I am slowly building up my collection of guns and try to visit the gun range in spokane weekly, weather permiting. I haven't had the opportunity to do any hunting yet, I only kill paper. http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/2861/gunsaf3.jpg |

Just noticed I got promoted to "Member," but I'm still pretty new. Joined in Aug 05, but haven't really been a regular reader until recently, and, boy howdy, have I learned a lot from the group. I'm retired and live in New Braunfels, Texas. Interests? If it shoots, I'm at least somewhat interested in it.
I've been able to figure out some of the acronyms commonly used in THR, but it sure would help the newbies to have an acronym dictionary (or is there one out there I've missed?). |

Hello, I'm amature (yeah I know it's mispelled). I am very interested in firearms from shooting them to finding out about their inner workings to customzing them. I only own a few .22s and a shotgun because my parents aren't quite as enthusiastic as I am about firearms but that will soon be remedied when I'm in the Marine Corps. I am an airsoft nut. I absoulutely love the sport. I also play electric guitar and bass guitar and am just as enthused with music as I am with firearms. I play rock and metal. I'm hoping to make the most out of this forum and look forward to being a part of it here.

Hi guys, I see alot of names I know (Ok, I lied, I see pictures of guns I know... I suck at names
) from War Rifles, Frugals...ANYWAY, I made it over here and it seems like a nice place. I'm a Marine 03, EMT, and all around gun-a-holic. The 1911 and M14/M1A are as close to profection as it gets. And I am proud to exercise my right to CCW daily. I'm currently physically impared and getting treatments for it. But I used to shoot practical pistol, do WW2 renactments, and I've taken a couple classes at Gunsite, and plan to visit a few more schools as soon as I'm physically able. May your guns never rust and may you never run out of ammo. |

Hello folks. I'm new to guns (previously relied on dogs) for self defense. Had a strange fellow show up at my door a few months back during storm/hurricane Ernesto at 10:45 p.m. at night and so that escalated my interest in self defense. I took a concealed class just to learn how to shoot (there aren't any basic gun classes in the immediate area) and ended up deciding to get my concealed permit too. So, here I am to soak up some info.

Not so new member, but since officially unintroduced this should be the place.
living in Eastern Europe, Estonia, got into firearms (and military technology&tactics) in teen years, shot mostly stuff of H&K origin back then (G3, MP-5), now proud member of KL, a military organization, and try to keep a blog of the experience in it. Own a few guns (CZ 75B, FN 57 and HK G36K), try to get some more, like real SVD. Before joining I was a lurker in this place, for a little, then hooked up. |
