Back in touch...
Hey all, just a guy who's gotten away from guns in my past and now have the burning desire to shoot again and some hunting again too. Mostly interested in rifles and shotguns yet that doesn't mean a few pistols could end up in the safe too.
Thanks, Larry |

Hello. I've been reading THR for quite a while now (gold mine for interesting gun discussions and input), and just finally decided to sign up. I think I'm addicted to guns. Almost anything gun will deeply intrigue me, it's sick really. A combination of the mechanics of how a gun works, the empowering feeling that comes with the discharge of a firearm, and simply enjoying the rights provided by this great country probably mostly sums up my enthusiasm. I also get a great rush from finding good deals (especially on ammo). I own a Marlin Model 60 and a Rock River LAR-15; next up is a bolt action .308, probably Savage. Jeez, I really need to get a job again to support my habit...

New Guy
I live in Bowie Texas. That’s about 90 miles NW of Fort Worth. I’m retired from IBM for 15 years and just recently started looking at the different inter-net forums and such. My primary interests lie in reloading but also in general shooting sports/hunting. Yes I'm older than dirt!

I'm a Texan who currently owns a WASR-10/63 Romanian made AK-47. I am enjoying the responsibility and freedom of gun ownership. My future purchases include a good long rifle, as well as a pistol.

Hello to all,
Im trying to find out the build date and other info on an old S&W 32 cal.6-shot revolver. The last patent date that I can make put appears to be Sept.14,'08....s.n. is legible. If someone could tell me how to find these records I would appriciate it. The pistol has the half moon sights and appears to be nickle or chrome plated. It fires VERY well and seems to be accurate up to about 50 yards. I would appriciate any help...Thx...Jim |

Hello peoples, I am a new member but not too new to the forum. Over the past couple of years I've started my firearms collection, until then it was all knives and swords (I'm fascinated with forging and there is some really beautiful steel out there). Since before I got my remmy 700 in 30-06 (first non-pellet/bb gun I've bought) I have been bouncing in on several gun forums and finally decided to plant myself here two years later. Like any forum I have seen posts here that I really like that were very helpful and others that I could care less for, but overall, THR wins in my book. This year I've been stacking up new guns/ammo with my Springfield XD in .45acp and my Ruger 10/22 and running ammo through those two like we still had 1997 prices
I've learned a lot, have a degree in physics so also have a habit of sorting BS from actual results sometimes (other times it can be difficult). I work offshore and spend about 30% of my time out there researching guns and ammunition, it's a physics thing. I already know that there are a lot of knowledgeable and experienced people here to help if I have an issue, and in return hopefully I can shed a valued opinion once in a while too. Nice to meet you all.

Getting interested in guns again, semiautos for now. Recently purchased a Ruger MKII from a friend and just ordered a Glock34. Need a few more, have tried a few, 1911 .45's (lookin at the Kimber) 9mm Brownings(looking at 2 used ones for sale ) Beretta 92FS INOX(looks good to me, orTaurus?) . Reading Practical Shooting by Brian Enos-interesting guy! Maybe competition shooting would be interesting. Looking for a gun club in my area-NW suburbs of Chicago. Closest range I know is Gat Guns. Any neighbours out there?

Hello. I'm from Pike County, KY...the home of the famous Hatfield-McCoy feud. I have lots of high-powered handguns and rifles, but right now, I am really into .22lr rifles and handguns. Recent acquisitions include Ruger Single Six and Ruger Mark III Target...both great guns.
I am glad to be a member of this forum, and I enjoy reading what folks have to say. |

Brand new member here and mostly new to the firearms sport. I shot .22 prone as a kid in New Jersey but never went further than that. Live in Florida now and I'm just getting into hunting. Current weapons .177 bolt action, .22 bolt action, 30-30 lever action, and 12 gauge shotgun. Only gun with a scope is the .177 mainly for my kids.

Checking back, I've not been here but a day so I'm on the prowl. Hunter72 I'm new to hunting too. I went a couple times with my dad but never did too much. I feel like I'm starting from scratch in something that I should know already.

Hi, I wandered onto this site after doing a Google image search for an NAA "The Earl" revolver.
Just a guy who likes to go to the range and shoot lots of .22 (or bigger when I can afford it). I also like to talk guns, especially the hundreds that I would like to buy but can't quite afford. I tend to like older style firearms, or firearm types with some history. I also like new guns. Basically I like any well made handgun or longgun out there. Oh, and I'm from Washington (State, not DC) |

New to this forum but long time shooter. Snohomish County in the Democratically controlled NW. Collected and built many auto loading "assault" tools over the years along with a gaggle of S&W revos and a couple shotguns. Now looking at some longer range work before my eyes go bad. I try to carry daily whether concealed or not and be responsible for my family safety. General good guy with a gun lust. Thanks for creating this site for guys like me to gather and exchange info.
