New guy from ohio. I'm a college student and love my guns. I'm an avid hunter, shooter, and gun enthusiast. I like the history behind firearms and the role they played in the founding and protection of this country.

Howdy everybody,
I started to read all the new member posts and only got to page two before I got cross-eyed. I figured I better say "Hi" before I can't see at all. Found this site because of a search I did about gun safes. I am looking to better my current safe and want something with some beef to it (and a few 1000 pounds of steel and insulation) I have a small collection of rifles and pistols and want to keep them as safe and secure as I can. I've had my Grandpa's .22 rifle since I can remember. Only target shoot since the Wife is not into hunting. That's OK cause she's the one I'll have to get my safe money from. I'm retired so that means "I've got no money but all the time in the world". Mike |

Hi, I'm Fritz, I'm an active duty Marine 0352 from Kentucky.
I seem to go against the grain on quite a few aspects of shooting (I like using iron sights, hate rail systems, and wont shoot from a bench) but I have real combat experience so I know the difference between being tactical and "tacticool". I have a Remington 700 BDL in .30-06 |

Hello all! New guy posting(been looking and reading for a while).
I have been interested in guns and shooting since I can remember. I recently started in on the cap and ball thing. I have to say it is more fun to me than anything else. I guess because it's so hands on. So on that note, I'm off to the BP section. |

Hello from Oregon
Greetings. I am from the Eugene area. I noticed when I "Googled" gun related questions, "THR" would always have a couple hits. Looking forward to lurking around a bit. I have a fair collection, including some SBR's & Suppressors. I enjoy the shooting lifestyle and am looking forward to learning more.

Just another new guy
Hello from Austin Texas! Just joined the site and have found it to be very informative. I've been a gun owner since I was about 13 years old and I'll be 50 next month. I bought my first gun, a JC Higgins lever action .22 rifle, using money I earned skinning raccoons and other animals for a trapper friend of the family. Over the years I bought, sold, and traded more rifles, pistols, milsurp, and shotguns than I can remember and have a great time being a "gun nut".

Hey everyone. My name is Kevin and I am currently living in California. I really love/loathe this state but I'm in college right now and I'll probably move out of this state soon anyway. I don't actually own any firearms unless high powered air guns count, but I participate in .22 junior olympic rifle shooting.

Hi I'm a new member obviously, I live in australia, Adelaide to be more precise. I enjoy hunting and target shooting and am a fan of the Remington 7600 and 7615 rifles, probably the closest things to semi auto rifles that we can own in Australia without special licenses. Look forward to sharing information and drooling over your relaxed firearms laws.

Afternoon,
Been reading this site for a while now, and finally got around to joining. Love that I find information on here I have trouble finding anywhere else (like how to fieldstrip a Wilkinson Sherry, for example). Active military in Virginia, been shooting for a while, love to talk (and occasional blather on about stuff I know very little about). Thanks ahead of time for all the info I'm sure I'll find on here!

New Member - Hermann Goering shotgun guy
I have spent the last quarter of a century or so trying to gather information to authenticate two antique engraved shotguns, one of which supposedly belonged to Hermann Goering. Finally I decided to build a website for that purpose at www.hermanngoeringshotgun.com (launched yesterday but still slightly under construction). If anyone has any helpful info or corrections to what is posted there I'd be glad to hear from you. Thanks much.

Greetings from Texas
Names Jason born in Houston Tx. 21 years old and a college student. Been a big fan of this forum and I have no idea why it took me until now to register. I'm a a huge gun fanatic and recently got into knives. I currently own a Mosin Nagant 91/33, Lee Enfield No.4 MK1, Norinco SKS-M, and a Puma 1911-22. I had a larger collection but unfortunately my house was broken into and I had some of my guns stolen (They broke into the safe). I look forward to being a long time member of this wonderful forum and look forward to learning much from you guys! Thanks
.

My name is Drew. I'm a cop for a city outside of Los Angeles.
Lurked on THR years ago, and frankly it fell off my radar for no good reason. A friend recently mentioned the site and I was happy to be reminded. Drew Last edited by Doru; January 10, 2011 at 07:12 PM. |

Hmph - I thought I'd done this already but I guess I forgot. I've been reading here on THR for over a year but never had anything intelligent to post so I've kept quiet until now.
I'm glad to be here. |
