reloading 300rum
My name is John. i am looking for information/tips on reloading for my 300RUM. I have tried most factory loads and the only one my 700 sps will pattern is the 150gr Scirocco loaded by remington. I have had great results with that load but they have doubled in price and became hard to find. I want to use the same bullet in reloading.

Hello...
I have an 1858 Remmington that I have been attempting to disassemble. I found this necessary because I can not pull the hammer back to full cock or even half cock as the cylinder will not rotate. Additionally, I have been able to take it apart except for the cylinder pin and the cylinder itself. Does anyone have a solution or suggestion? |

Hello, I'm Mike and a new member. I am a life member of both the NRA and the Texas SRA. I also am an Appleseed member. I am married for the second time and live here in Texas the state I was born in. I like to shoot rifles mainly. I have several bolt guns and a few milsurps. I like to shoot in casual bench rest meets. I don't have any real bench guns or equipment, just my scoped hunting rifles which are mostly bolt guns. I have 2 Rem. 700s, 1 30-06 and one 22-250. I have a Mauser I had built into a 280 Remington, I have Howa I had rebarreled from a 22-250 into a 250 Savage. It has a Krieger Stainless 25.5 inch barrel and a Vari x II 3-9x40 in Leupold brand but Redfield style mounts. It is a shooter. I have a 1966 push feed 270 model 70 Winchester that I bought when I was 18 and inn high school. Even though it's a rattly old post 63, it is my favorite rifle. It has killed a lot of deer, not just by me, but everyone in my family has killed a deer or hog with it. I also have a Ruger 77 30-06 made in 1988. It is another favorite of mine. I also have a 94 AE 30-30 Win. I bought in 1981. I have some milsurps, Garands, 03-A3, 1917 Eddystone Enfiled, two 22s and two shotguns. I lost about 20 guns in my divorce in 2001 and am just recovering. I also have 4 handguns. I am not a big hand gun shooter, bbut what I have I love and one of them is a S&W 357 Revolver and another is a 1911. I also have several Mausers mainly for doner actions for projects. I am going to take one action, a Yugo 24/47 to my gun smith this week and he is going to build me something I have wanted for about 30 years, a .257 Roberts Ackley Improved. I'll let you know more about that later. I'm anxious to get to know you all and get with the discussion. I go on gun forums to learn and this one will be no exception. I have been around firearms for over 50 years, but I don't profess to know it all and I try to act humble about what little I know. I've been around the horn, but I realize you never stop learning. That's the beauty of life.
Sincerely, Snake 284 |

Joined up toady after reading from the sidelines for a while now. If it shoots a cartridge type round, I am interested. No smoke poles yet for me. Maybe when i get older and have more time.

Hello everybody. I decided to join after reading the very well done thread concerning 7.62x25 Tokarov in CZ-52's. This site seems more informed and polite than most so I decided it was the one to join. I would also like to say thanks to any members that have served in our military. Utmost respect and appreciation for all of you.

I'm a new member
Been lurking a little bit, searching out information on Ithaca shotguns. Decided to join because I'd like to ask questions. I have long guns mostly, a few rifles and a couple of shotguns. I'm a 30-yr member of the NRA, Army veteran and a 20-yr member of a motorcyclist's rights organization. I have returned to school and am now 1/2-way through my required courses in my quest to become a school teacher.

New from NorthShore Mass
Hi Yall
Been lurking for a while and figured its time to say hi. Great forum...glad to be here. I've been shooting off and on since the early 90's and finally got my mass carry license last year. My guns I own... Ruger Security Six .357 Mag 6" (Love this gun...its my favorite) Ruger New BlackHawk .41 Mag 6.5" (read as Canon) Walther PK380 My dad's gun I shoot with is a S&W Model36 Chief's Special I'd really like to try skeet/trap and purchase my own shotgun. Looks like alot of serious fun and something that is both challenging and entertaining. |

Hey Y'all
New member from Phoenix, AZ area, transplanted from Tennessee/Georgia 15 years ago. Have perused THR many times last two or three years, figured it was time to join...have gleaned some good info from members in the past.
I'm a casual shooter, mostly at gun range. Not really a collector, but over past couple or three years have acquired a sort of eclectic group of .22 rifles and one 22Mag, all of them go to the range occasionally: Older, all Very Good to Exellent except the Win 1906: Browning A-Bolt 22- 1986 Remington 572 22- 1975 Winchester Model 61 22- 1953 Winchester Model 1906 22 - 1912 Remington Nylon 66 Mohawk Brown 22 - 1987 Newer: Remington Model 5 (Zastava Z5) 22 Henry H001T Octagon 22 Remington Model 597 22 Marlin 983SS 22 Mag They're all scoped, 'cause I can't see to shoot otherwise, except the Win 61 (Excellent condition), which I wouldn't ruin by drilling/tapping, and the Win 1906, same reason, although it's in pretty bad condition. |

Hello all, just ran across your site and decided to jump in. I am an old crow who likes handguns and shooting skeet and trap. I currently have the following,
Pistols & Revolvers: Sig P238 HD Glock Model 32 Taurus 94SS2UL Taurus TCP738 Taurus PT1911 Ruger MK III Slab side Kimber Stainless II Kimber Pro Carry II Shotguns: Beretta 391 Mossberg 590 S/P Franchi 720 Competition I have been around firearms most of my life and enjoy talking about them. I am by no means a knowledgable individual with regard to tech & specs. I buy what I like and shoot them until I don't like them anymore, then sell them or trade them for something I do like. I look forward to learning from persons who share my appreciation and respect for what firearms are and should be used for. Don |

Hi all,
I've been into guns form a very young age thanks to a loving and responsible father. I have an extremely diverse collection of firearms ranging from an original Colt Peacemaker Bisely to a tricked-out AR-15. I always have stupid questions, hopefully everyone here will show mercy when one flies out! |

New blood
Hello,
Fairly new to the gun scene and this forum. Glad to be here. I've lived in San Antonio (for the most part) since about '92. I bought my first gun in November. Now I have 3. See you around.
