I am planning on trying to compete in some competitions this season, most likely some plate shoots or maybe some IDPA matches. Unfortunately, I am not old enough to own my own pistol yet but as soon as I turn 21 the application for my permit will be sent in and hopefully I can buy my own a short while afterward. Luckily I made friends with my NRA instructor who is willing to shoot competitions with me so I can stay active in the sport. I go to school at the University of New Haven and live in Charlton, Massachusetts. I look forward to learning as much information as possible from this forum. |

Hi Folks! I'm from Kansas and shot a lot as a young man and then got out of it. My wife got me back into it and I am having a great time with it. Want to get into reloading and have just started armoring.
Still have my first rifle, Winchester 270 pump action, which I am restoring. My next project is my Grandfather's 410 single shot. Looking forward to learning more about others likes and dislikes.

Hello everyone, born and raised in California, then moved to New Mexico in 92, been here ever since.
Love it here, the low population, affordable land and the gun laws just make this paradise for me. Looking forward to meeting everyone exchanging ideas. |

Hi, I'm new to to The High Road. I started out just buying cheap rifles to shoot then one day, after looking over my collection, a friend told me I was either a collector or the arms room for a neighborhood militia. Guess I'm a collector. I just recently got back to my hobby, now that I have the time to dedicate again. My interests are anything Polish and old bolt actions. I have a few Mosin Nagants, Mausers, and an M1 Garand built with GI parts on a CIA receiver. It may not be historical, but it's fun to shoot.
GrandpaW, where in the Land of Oz are you? I'm in the Wichita area. |

Hey all, My name is Randy and I'm from WV. I'm basically here looking for CC info to start with but am sure I'll find much more than that. I just got my CC permit again after a long time of not having it (due to moving from another state and thinking it was a money racket there). I've got 2 new carry guns, Bersa Thunder 380 and a Ruger LC9 and am off looking for info!

Howdy,
I'm here to get away from the "crazies" and socialize with fellow gun lovers. Looking to get into reloading too. I own a SigSauer p238 for CC, a High Standard .45 1911 made by Armscor, a Marlin .22, and a Mossberg 500. I'm hoping to get a Remington 700 .308 in time for this falls deer season. I'm also dead set on becoming a GUNSMITH-- any info or advice from experience is GREATLY appreciated!!!! |

New here
Hi to you all,
I am a single mom of a 15 yr. old young man. I was raised "old school" you learn about guns and how to properly handle and care for them at a young age. I have never been and will never be one of those parents that don't want guns in my home. I am and will always be one of those moms who believe guns should be handled properly and guns safety should be taught at a young age. I come across the forum while trying to find information on a gun I was given. I was given several guns they are... .38 special Smith and Wesson 50 caliber 30 30 riffle 22 revolver 22 semi auto 410 16 gauge 20 gauge The smith and wesson is the gun I would like the information on. I look forward to being a part of this forum Thanks Angie |

Hello:
Checking in from sunny Arizona. I'm into C&R guns and modern revolvers - and just about anything that goes bang! I do a little hunting but I mostly make holes in paper. I just got into reloading and I find that hobby as rewarding as I do collecting and shooting my guns. I've been a long time reader of posts on THR and I appreciate how this site is operated and how the members treat one another. |

Hi, I'm Bill hailing from Texas. I'm just getting into guns after years and years of guitar. I'm tired and I find guns easier to learn now. I have a Sigma 9mm and it's a sweet gun. Hard trigger yes but not after I removed the torsion spring. This Sat I should be picking up my Sig P250c 40sw at the range. It's my first time I ever own and shot a 40sw. Back in the 80s I had a 357, 38 super, a 380 and a few 22s but they're all gone. Now I will own two.
Glad to be here and see y'all later in the threads. |

Hello, I am Chris from Utah (not native but currently residing).
Currently, I have a Ruger 10/22 w/ Chicago conversion. Got a couple of ProMag 50 rd drums w/ it for as well in the local classifieds. So, I decided I better join up with a gun community and this was my first pick. Can't wait to become a contributing member of the community. Thanks and see you on the boards.
