Hey everyone,
New member. Have seen this forum quite a bit in my searches over the years. I am a machinist. I dabble in gunsmithing. No guns anymore at the moment (unfortunately, divorce made me poor, and guns are a ready source of cash). Yep, that's about it. |

Greets from the cold side...
Hi all.
Just found this site and hope to get some/give some useful advice, info, laughs etc... I've been a "shooter" all of my life. I've enjoyed everything from plinking with my little Marlin 39A "Golden" at 6(which I still have) to standing on the 200 yd line at Camp Perry(Rodriguez) with that sick/nauseous feeling as you realize you've just crossfired a 10 when you WERE looking at walking off with a 95-2(now 85-2-1M!). I've been reloading in some form since 11 or 12, I started out using RCBS stuff and am in the process of buying a new Dillon 550 to re-start pistol shooting...AGAIN! I lived "out west" and was stationed up and down the west coast during my time on active duty. I've hunted deer/elk/antelope/varmints and X's(not wives...you know, the center of the target!) Thanks for having me aboard... Last edited by CryptKeeper5; November 3, 2012 at 08:52 PM. |

Greetings, joined recently to learn and share when I can. Living in Southern California and enjoying the warmth and sunshine, the excessive gun laws not so much, and just starting to turn my shooting pastime into a serious hobby. Looking forward to the sharing of info and the occasional corny joke.

Hi. Avid, life-long handgunner. Grew up in a shooting/hunting family. Started re-loading at ~14 yrs old. Big 1911 fan. Even though I've got a significant amount of brass under my belt, I don't come here as a know-it-all - I joined to read and further enjoy the sport. I actually joined some time back - finally got around to my introduction.

Back from the past
Hello, folks,
Joined up a while back but never too active here - thought I would rekindle some interest and maybe learn a thing or two...I'm a 1911/Colt Python addict though I do have a few other flavors and some long guns I enjoy. DD

Hello, all.
Name is Mike; retired engineer in Florida. Just inherited a 7.65mm Ortgies from my grandfather via my older sister. For an old old automatic, seems to be in great shape but have visited mucho web sites regarding Ortgies. Have included pics. |

Hello good people,,,
My name is Aarond H. Graham,,,
I'm a 61 year old single white male who enjoys long walks on the bea,,, eerrr,,, sorry wrong forum. ![]() I'm a 61 year old gun nut,,, I have a Master's Degree in Occupational Education,,, I work as an Instructional Support Specialist at Oklahoma State University. It's only in the last 6-7 years that I've had the money to indulge myself,,, Meaning that I always made good money but had a wife with horses,,, Now that I no longer have that dual burden I can afford my passion. I am a certified saddle-maker who never makes saddles,,, I do make gun-leather when the spirit moves me,,, I'm not into business but build for the fun of it. ![]() I love revolvers, semi's, and single shot rifles,,, I believe that a 550 round bulk pack of .22 is the best leisure activity in the world. I like putting sets of guns together,,, I especially like owning a pair of guns in rimfire and centerfire,,, Examples are my S&W Model 15/18 pair and my CZ-75B pair in 9mm and .22 LR. ![]() All in all guns are my hobby,,, I like collecting them and shooting them. My calling card says it all: Aarond H. Graham Strange to the bone, But basically harmless. I'm here to share my knowledge,,, And gain more knowledge from you all,,, And hopefully have some good conversations. Aarond .

I am a retired Marine SgtMaj 1959 - 1981. I have also had other careers but I'm now retired for good. I have always liked the shooting sports, long range target shooting, hunting, reloading etc., and golf now that I'm retired. THR was joined some years back when I lived in WY but since I moved to AZ and got a new email/address etc., I just could not remember my login ID, so I rejoined today. Looking forward to checking the various posts etc.

Hello from Greeley Colorado
Looks like a great site and I cant wait to share experiences and expertise with all of you. I'm an avid target shooter of both hand and long gun, I recently started playing with Muzzleloader shooting and am having a ball with it. Been shooting and reloading longer than I want to admit so lets see what we can learn here.

Hi, I live in SE Texas and have owned guns most of my life. I've always enjoyed shooting and hunting but life got in the way for the past 10 years. I'm getting back in the groove now and hope to be reloading and shooting more in the coming year.

Hey, I'm Andrew, I'm an Army Reserve Military Policeman and am about to get my bachelor's in Criminal Justice and Sociology (double major). I plan on doing law enforcement the rest of my life. I've frequented the site and always search it for detailed questions I have and opinions on certain guns. Well, I fell in love with guns when I was 14 and watched an all day series on the history channel "History of the Gun". Once I was 18 and finally had money to start buying guns, I did, and have acquired a little collection in a short 5 years, devoting more of my time and money to them than I should...
I primarily enjoy rifle shooting and have a (bought in this order) 7.62 Saiga, Mosin Nagant, a Savage Axis in 308 (Which shot exactly one inch the second time I had it out), and a Marlin 39a (.22) from 1959 that used to be my girlfriend's grandfathers. But I keep myself well rounded and properly prepared and capable, I have shotguns and pistols that get bought/sold/traded, as long as I have one at a time for carry/defense/practice and trap shooting/hunting, then I'm happy. Though I REALLY enjoy both pistols and shotguns, my passion is rifle shooting. I'm a fan of 9mm, for price, higher magazine caps, and easier double taps under stress, and prefer the multitude of the 30 calibers as opposed to smaller rounds. Looking forward to becoming a contributing member here. |

Hello
Hello Folks
I have been a lurker here for a while. I am a pistol junky, it started back in the mid 70's when the Navy CB's gave me a wore out 1911 and said qualify! I don't think I could have hit my foot with that gun if I threw it! LOL! Like most of you I have my favorite guns and the top of the list is the 1911 and the 10/22. I am in Central California but hope to move to America some day where I can have any gun/magazine that my heart desires. Steve |

hello I am Mike from mike@gunshopps.com
Although I subscribe to several gun boards it is usually for the purpose of learning and not pushing products. I have been a collector of John Brown designed items and Boys Rifles (1800's-early 1900's) since it seems like forever.
It has just been a few weeks that I got help and put a store website online. I really didn't have enough items to justify an online store so I got together with a reputable distributer who handles all things for families who love the outdoors, as i do. I have been selling online (Auction Arms) for years and contribute to the NRA a % of each sale. My user name on Auction Arms is romigr608 if you want to check my feedback and what I have for sale there. If I can help in any way I will, it's just paying it forward for me as a lot of gun collectors have helped me.

Hello Everyone!
I joined up yesterday. I have been a lurker here for the past year, really. I used to go to some other forums but I tend to like the rules and ideologies here at THR. I am glad to chime in on the fun! My dad taught me to shoot and I like to think he did a good job. I'm 5'8, 130lbs and although not the best solution, I CCW a 42 ounce (unloaded) SIG P226 ST in .357 Sig (also have the .40 barrel and .22 slide). Its all I have so it gets carried everyday. I use a Kirk Patrick IWB holster and a Galco belt. It seems to work okay. I am in the market for a used or decently priced SIG P239 in .40 S&W, though! Thanks, and Safe Travels!
