Hi all, I'm Andy.
It all started many years ago with the purchase of my High Standard Sport King M and hasn't stopped. Slowed down a little now and again, but never stopped. Wish I still had the single shot .22 rifle and .410 I had as a kid, but those are long gone. But now I'm on to bigger and better things. |

Hi All,
I'm Paul and I'm an Expatriot Californian currently living in the State of Oregon. I've been shooting for about the past 20 years and I do my best to educate people on the 2nd amendment and I have gotten into quite a few arguments with Statists about gun control sometimes it goes well sometimes I end up not speaking to someone ever again...(I have nothing but contempt for someone who outright states that they will violate the rights of 75 Million people for their political ideals.) As I explained to one friend who is now in Politics...If you wish for everyone to be equal you do not concentrate Force and the Ability to do violence in the hands of a few politically connected Elite. You dilute the ability to aply force and Violence across society meaning that you arm and train everyone who is of sound mind and body. Outside of Shooting for fun I do write fiction and I will be asking questions about firearms that I can't get my hands on....yet. |

Hey, just joined and I've been shooting for about 3 years. I enjoy pistols, S&W 22A, Beretta Storm 9MM and a Springfield XD 40. I try to shoot once a week. I also have a Colt Match Target M-4. A very sweet AR. Anyway, I just ordered some reload equipment to start reloading my own. Hope I don't blow myself up. So anyway Hi to all.

HI Guys, Thanks for having me as a member on THR. I was at Ben Avery's Shooting Range in Phoenix, Arizona this weekend (83 degrees). They were having the National Muzzeler Loader Shoot Out on 1300 acres on the Sonoran Desert. I purchased a Johnathan Browing 45 Caliber Mountain Rifle, never fired. I'm sure they did it at the factory. I've fired many guns, but never a Muzzle loader. I have know idea what I am Doing. I purchased Lyman's Book of Black Powder. Hope I can learn something. What type of powder should I use. Caps, etc. Any help will greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Eddie

Good to see the new folks.
Please remember that THR takes the rules more seriously than many other sites so we can provide a unique place on the internet for folks to be free of flames and insults and gross misinformation. If you're looking for information you'll see several forums specializing in different areas. Autoloaders, Black Powder, Rifles, Gunsmithing, etc. A search within those forums might give you the answer you need or just a good thread to ask. Welcome.

Hello everyone. I am a new member, and have recently rediscovered shooting. My dad taught me a lot growing up, but I haven't been around firearms in 20 years. With the current legal climate, I thought it prudent to take up shooting again.
I recently bought a Beretta px4 full size .40 cal. I put a crimson trace universal laser on it. It's my night stand gun. My wife also wants to get involved in shooting, and we are gonna get her something to shoot too. I applied for my concealed carry permit here in MS last week. |

I'm John Peden. I've been shooting most of my life but decided I really need to get into it about 3 or 4 months ago. I prefer things with a scope on them since I'm a really lousy shot but have dreams winning a sniper competition someday. I carry a .40 S&W concealed and my wife carries a .380.
I came up with the idea of the GunFreeZone cell phone app which allows users to mark and share where the gun free zones are so we all know where not to shop. It's economic warfare and I'm fighting dirty. |

Howdy, THR! Great forum, and I'm looking forward to learning from all y'all. I've had lots of rifles over the years, and have started to develop a healthy interest in pistols lately- I picked up an FNS-40 right before Christmas, and just got an SR9-c. Next is a .45, and I'm looking forward to learning how to make the best out of them.

Evening, folks. Aaron from AZ here. I figured that since every web search over the past five years led me to a good thread on this site, it was high time for me to sign up.
I'm a fan of firearms of nearly every stripe but am partial to those chambered in calibers that start with .45. I hope to continue to learn here and maybe even participate in the discussions a little.

A big Hello to the community. My username is MrTrolleyguy because I once motored trolley cars [Presidential Conference Cars/PCCs] on the streets of Philadelphia - still my home. Retired now, pistols & revolvers have captured my interest for the last year or so. I practice routinely and do a little dry-fire work at home. The information that I find on the forums and the YouTube gun community have been a big help to me. I look forward to reading a lot and posting a little on this forum.
My collection includes: s&w m36 RB Ruger SR9c w/CT Glock 19 gen4 Glock 26 gen4 s&w 686-6 snub nose s&w 686-4 4" Ruger LCP w/CT KelTec p3at w/CT Advantage Arms 26/22 conversion barrel I am thinking about trading/selling a few of these items. I have an order in for a s&w m617 and my wish list includes a s&w m627 and maybe a Ruger sp101 or gp 100. (haven't handled either one so I am undecided here) Joe a/k/a MrTrolleyguy Last edited by MrTrolleyguy; March 8, 2013 at 11:42 AM. |

Hey all
Hey,
Been a gun guy since birth. Most who know me call me when they have a gun question. I recently decided to get into reloading, thats why i'm here. Completely green and ready to jump in. Current gun stable is too much to mention but my prize pieces are my Kimber pro carry and my SOCOM II. |

First day here. I live on the Kenai Peninsula in south central Alaska. I am married and have 6 kids. Two are already signed on as marines and will be leaving for boot camp this summer. I spent 5 years in the Army. Was deployed to Somalia during operation continue hope. I love Rugers all makes and models. I have a small collection but most of it is Rugers. I love the big bore stuff. I carry a Super redhawk .454 Casual as a back up and hunt moose mostly with my model 70 .375 H&H magnum. Or in the brush a Marlin lever action .444 Marlin. I enjoy shooting bear at close range with my marlin. most of the people in my family name there pets after guns. Cats named Ruger and Magnum and dogs named Marlin. My next dog is going to be a Chesapeake. I enjoy playing Rugby when time and injuries allow it. I want to build a couple of guns. A .416, a .375 and a long range mountain tamer. One that will reach out quite a ways. Not sure an Caliber yet though. Its gonna be a super light weight gun though. I would love a .458 win mag as well. I love looking at all the old guns too. A couple of lever action shotguns would be cool. Like the Winchester 1887. Plus a modern one for shooting. I like beat up guns brand new guns long runs short guns pistols revolvers and anything that shoots a projectile.
