I come from a family that couldn't be more different than me. My parents do not tolerate gun ownership. They are still unaware of my two rifles' existance. Although they supposedly do not allow guns (that means any gun, even if its a toy) my dad bought an air rifle when I was 13, starting this whole gun-thing I have. After learning from a manager at Big5 Sporting Goods that I can't buy a gun until I turned 18, I tried bringing up the topic numerous times with my parents. So I had to wait until 18 to by my first gun- I started with airsoft pistols, and rifles, then worked into pellet guns. Around July 2007 I bought my Marlin 22lr, then recently, found my Norinco SKS at a gunstore for 225$. I'm an active plinker with my 22, because its quiet. I haven't gotten around to shoot my SKS yet. I also shoot my air rifle, from time to time, mainly at home because its so quiet. |

Hello
Hello to all. As my name suggests I'm a turkey hunting fanatic and a gun nut. I started squirrel with my dad at age 6 and haven't looked back since. Fifty-four years later I'm still at it.

I just found this site and checked in to say hello from Mesa, AZ. I'm retired USAF (1966-1990) and spent my time in aircraft maintenance... C-141A, C-5A, B-52G, KC-135A and the E-3A/B AWACS.
I've owned the following guns: - Ruger Mark III .22 - Ruger Security Six Stainless 6" barrel .357 Mag - Charter Arm's Bulldog .44 Short story.... they were put in storage with my household goods in a locked full sized tool box. While I was in Japan, my wife returned to the states, all the house stuff came out of storage and a divorce followed. A few years later, when I returned home, I asked the ex-wife about my tool box and guns. "What tool box, what guns?" was her reply. So, since 1990 there are three handguns that I used to own laying around Sacramento, CA somewhere. Currently I own: - SigSauer P226 Elite .40S&W - Smith and Wesson M&P40 .40S&W - Mossberg 500A Persuader 12 Ga They are used as range, off-road trail guns, home defense and occasional carry....

Greetings from the Trinity River Swamp. I'm Paddler112. I'm a relatively new pistol owner having just recently purchased a G17. I've had it out to the range a couple of times and really enjoy shooting it.
I also have a old .30 cal Standard Arms pump action rifle that is more antique than anything else. Some day I hope to get it into operable condition. I was referred here by Rino451. I hope to be able to tap into the collective wisdom offered here by those who have the experience I plan to gain. Thanks! |

Hi,
I am a avid gun enthusiast and a proud owner of a mossberg 500. I like Military type guns and military history. I also am a staunch supporter of the second amendment ( at the discontent of my parents and a few of my friend). I have read lots of posts at this site for quite a few years and i thought its about time for me to join.

Greetings,
I have had a lifelong interest in guns, and in handguns in particular. I have had so many in the past I could not name them if my life depended on it. Like some, they went via thief, divorce, and just young and out of money. I love target shooting, Pin Shooting, and the action shooting sports. I currently am hanging on to a P08 (my fathers from WW II), Colt 1911’s (70 series and older), Ruger MKII, NAA mini 22 (constant pocket companion) and Glock 17 19, and 21. I also hold CCW for Ohio and Utah. (Living in Ohio till spring and then back to Utah) Oh, five years in the Navy (70 – 75) and Three years as a MP with the Kentucky National Guard. (76 – 79) |

My name is Alex. I'm originally from New York but now i live in Currituck county NC. I'm into guns from a concealed carry and target shooting standpoint. I believe every state should allow people to carry concealed with a permit.

I wouldn't consider going to the range as "wasting" money. Merry Christmas

welcome, I have friends that ask me if shooting and collecting guns is an expensive hobby.
I tell them it would be cheaper to be addicted to cocaine...

Hi,
51 years old, living in the PRK (central valley, leans a little more to the right), just applied for my C&R. Used to be a big time short gunner but getting interested in rifles, particularly WW1 neutral country stuff-Swedish, Swiss, Belgian, Spanish, Norwegian. Married to a Bay Area bred school teacher who used to be an anti-, still doesn't shoot (recoil and noise scares her), but sees the stupidity of the anti position and irrational gun control laws and has become supportive of law abiding carry and my collecting. Got a nice Ishapore 2A from her for Christmas last year. How's that for a conversion? BTW, lurked for a while gathering info for the C&R application and info on the Swedish and Swiss rifles. Thanks to all of you for providing that. sniper5 |

I would love to know a bit about gun ownership in India. Can you share some of your background??
Trust me, any questions that are gun related can be answered here. The only real requirement seems to be good manners and keeping on point. Welcome!
