I'm a new member from the UK. I've been shooting pretty much all my life (54 years). Started with airguns, and then onto shotguns and rifles. My current rifles (excluding a BRNO .22LR), are a Rem 700 PSS in .223 and a Win Mod 70 Coyote in .308. I've got a place on my licence for a .38/.357 underlever, but can't make my mind up what to go for? My local gunshop has a second hand Winchester, but the guy says that you can't get spares that easy. Any thoughts? |

Hi there High Roaders
Hi my names Brian found your forum thanks to MD's alien firearms licence thread as I am living in Wa state but am originally from England .
strange thing is that ive been here for nearly 6 years and this is the first I'd heard of the licence thing so it just proves that forums such as this are a great educational resource and help prevent crime . to prevent myself being a felon , my guns are now possessed and held by my American citizen wife I just test fire them for her. I'm mostly into milsurps , Enfields ,mausers and the like plus theres a contender with several caliber barrells in the collection. When life gives you a can of worms ..............go fishing!!! any other brits in wa feel free to email or message me would be great to hear from you ,in fact same goes for anyone , you can never have enough like minded friends . |

Hello everyone! I've been lurking here for a few months now once I purchased my first handgun in March (about 2 weeks after I turned 21) and have decided to actually register and post today!
I'm currently up to 4 handguns (a Walther P22, a Ruger Police Service Six, a Bauer .25 Automatic, and a Walther P38), and I am planning on OC'ing and/or CC'ing soon (I completed the CCW class a few weeks ago, and will be applying for my permit shortly). I am a Reasonist. The easiest way to describe the philosophy would be to link to the Reason's Light website, but I'm going to assume that advertising another forum is *slightly* frowned upon, so I'll simply describe it as being similar to Libertarianism (note that this is a VERY broad and imprecise description, but should do as a general description to those not familiar with / interested in philosophy so as to let people roughly know the kind of views I hold). I average about 2-3 hours / 200-400 rounds per week at the local range in order to get more proficient with my firearms, and thoroughly enjoy everything related to shooting, self-defense, and my rights. Well, enough background info about me....I'm looking forward to becoming an active member of this forum, and so should all of you! Last edited by Magus8764; July 3, 2008 at 03:21 PM. I'm new here too. Apparently I live about 35m north of Magus8764.
I have surfed by this site a number of times looking for info on a particular gun, and have found it to be a pretty nice forum - meaning most of the members seem to display a reasonable amount of sanity... ![]() I am the admin of a couple of fairly busy sites, and am a web programmer by trade, so I won't be much of a troublemaker. I have too many guns to list, and also collect slipjoint pocketnives. |

Great forums everyone : )
I am fairly new to the gun world. Until the past year i didn't really know anything about guns or have an interest. But with the recent move to pontiac MI so my fiancee could attend school I decided to get a gun for home protection. from the first time i fired my good ole smith and wesson 9mm I have been hooked though. Anyways great forums guys I can see there is alot i can learn from the people here.

Welcome to the High Road. If someone here tells you that they don't learn something new here everyday they are not telling the truth.

Hey All,
I have come across this site a few times, Been a member at three or four other message boards for quite a while. It was a certain purple Mosin Nagant Sporter project that brought me over and made me want to join up though. I collect old mil surp rifles and am a NRA pistol instructor in Colorado. -Dane |

Hello everyone I have been lurking on this forum for a while and recently decided to come out and make some post myself. I am a web designer and computer tech. So far I have found this forum to be the most interesting forum that I ever encountered. Hopefully I can make some contribution on this forum as well. Thank you.

I couldn't resist signing up.
I have been lurking for a while now since my husband Bnkrazy showed me the site. I am a mom of two kiddos. A little girl who will be 5 this month and a son who is 2. I just recently got into guns after my son was born in 2006. My other guns sites I am on are very slow and I was looking for something that is busy.

Howdy!
I'm a college student, been shooting pretty much my whole life, just starting my own gun collection (Browning Buckmark .22 is all for now, but I've got a list). I've been reading thr for quite a while, seems every time I looked for any info about guns THR was one of the first 3 things to come up. Great site! |

Just joined the site today. A co-worker took me to the range a few weeks ago (my first time shooting a handgun) and now I'm hooked. Just went and placed an order on a Sig P226 9mm Platinum Elite yesterday. Can't wait for it to arrive.

belgium browning auto 5 question
I have a beligum browning auto 5 shotgun but do not know what year it was made in. I have checked the browning site but it does not list the year because this gun has a serial number beginning with 29###. There are no letters in the bserial number. It is an old gun but it is in great condition. If some one can tell me what year is was made in it would be great. I have looked at other browning belgiums but have not located one the has the serial number stamped on both sides of the gun in the screws. I have not seen another gun like it.

Hi everybody. Just getting around to doing some of the more fun things a second time that I enjoyed a long time ago. I've narrowed my focus to Hot rods, music and guns, in whatever order it suits me at the time. Got a lot of reading to catch up on. GREAT SITE! See ya'.
