New member,
My wife and I shoot USPSA. My primary is a Springfield XD-40 and my wife's is the XD-9mm compact. We both carry S&W model 60's as backup. We train at Weapons Training School in Sonora, CA and Front Sight in Pahrump, NV. It's been fun reading some of the posts here. |

Hey welcome,
Great place for a whole host of discussions. Whats great about this board is that the discussions range from lethal to non-lethal weapons. Regards, SaBa, www.safetybasement.com Law Enforcement, Personal Safety, Spy & Surveillance |

Hello everyone.
I'm in my mid 40's, married to a wonderful woman and will celebrate our 26th anniversary at the end of this month. Three daughters.....two already married and moved away....a third getting her masters degree in Florida. I'm a 13 year partially disabled veteran of the U.S. Air Force....former career firefighter and current safety consultant. Yes.....I've had to draw before.....no....I didn't have to shoot (praise the Lord!!) I live in God's country here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and truely love it up here.

Greetings
Hello All. I hope I did not commit a grievous error by not introducing myself first, but her goes nothing.
I am a SC native with Ordnance background (US Army), a lovely wife and 2 kids. Currently we live abroad and I use forums such as this one to placate my gun jones. I hope to keep up with current events as well. Thank you to all for what has so far been a wonderful place to socialize.

Vegas New Guy here
Just found the forum, and I'm a big fan already. I live in Las Vegas and work as the Production Manager on a Cirque show. I have been shooting seriously for 27 years (ouch) and have shot competitively in several disciplines (USPSA, IDPA, Paladin, skeet, trap, 3 Gun, DCM, GSSF). I have a bunch of guns- I quit counting at 70. I am most partial to handguns, shotguns and carbines- I guess that ADD and precision riflecraft don't mix. I also reload for handgun and shotgun.

I'm not very computer literate but I try. I hope to learn and contribute as well, when I can. I own several 'guns' and have C&R and a carry permit here in my home sate.

Ok, I guess I'll make it page 100 on the welcome list.
![]() The main thing is, I'M A HUGE 2nd amendment activist. I look for articles in virtyally every major newspaper that is anti-gun and attempt to write logical and measured responses to tell them how frigging stupid they really are, ahem. ![]() I live in Spokane, have a CCW and use it. I love anything well-machined whether it's a Mercedes cylinder head or a couple of my FN-Fals. I'm into black powder, fine cutlery, old Jeeps and my wife and kids, not in that order, lol. I still get excited when I get a great deal or find something really exquisite like a mint 6" Python for under a grand. I'd like to learn about reloading primarily because I do understand that every firearm has a different appetite for optimal performance, as long as the barrel isn't a sewer pipe. ![]() Have a great one, 2 am here and I've been reading here wayyyy too long! |

Why not. I'm in the midwest. Enjoy going to the range. And I'm a proud Hi-Point owner. And I don't believe in the 2nd Amendment as it is currently written. So if I decide to actively participate, it should make for some interesting threads and hopefully add some different points of view.

Greetings from Yuma County, Arizona. I am new to the forum and just wanted to say hello. I'm a fierce defender of the U.S. Constitution and a proud patriot. My main reason for being here is to learn from other fellow patriots preparing for WTSHTF. God bless all THR members.

Hi. I'm a complete and absolute newbie - not just to this forum but to gun ownership. I recently inherited two guns: a Colt Huntsman and a S&W 10-5. Prior to a month ago I had never shot a gun. Now I have two whole trips to a shooting range under my belt
I'm eager to learn more about my guns, and about gun ownership in general, but I wonder if maybe this forum is designed for experienced gun owners and not newbies such as myself? Any advice?
