I love how a bunch of brass spits out when he reloads. It's like emptying the cylinder on a revolver. This rifle would be perfect in a movie.

I like! Also looks good for keeping spent brass in good shape for reloading. Some semi-auto's damage cases through ejection and cases can also be hard to find.
I want one even more now!

The idea is great, but that recoil looks pretty brutal to me. Anyone else think so?

No. Hand-held .308s will move wafer-thin shooters. Notice how little muzzle rise there is.

...not if you've ever shot any other .308. That is what you need to expect.

Which is a good demo of why the full auto M14 or FN-FAL wasn't such a good idea.

I love the things they've done with the bullpup design. The only thing is, looking at the schematics on keltec.com I thought we'd see vigorous shell ejection. In the video it looks like the shells just kinna... fall out. I'm not sure how I'd feel about that - how easy would it be to clog the tube?

At any rate, I'm still saving my pennies.

MrChicken - it could be, or it could be an anchor point for the sound dampening material on the wall??

Good point. Very little muzzle climb or flash.
Looks like a very interesting gun. I don't really want another .308, but that one I might have to pick up.

I wonder if there is any chance of spent cases jamming up in that ejection chute.

Looks like Kel-Tec ripped off FN's F2000 design, cheapened it up and put it in a .308.

Eh? The RFB is in a heavier caliber, attractive and more streamlined. It also has a great trigger. I totally see how you could come to that conclusion.

If you look at a diagram of parts, or handle the trigger pack off of one, you'd know how ridiculously wrong that statement is. They both are bullpups with tubes along the barrel for brass ejection, that's about the only similarity between them.

That video really sold me on the rifle.

Why are people upset about the spent cartridge ejection? It's funny how people can scream and moan about innovation, but when someone makes a rifle that uses a new feature, they get their panties in a bunch and clam up.

I highly doubt that the brass could clump together and cause a back up without some other foreign debris being involved.

I also really liked the way that all of the excess brass is ejected when the charging handle is actuated.

The bore axis on the RFB isn't just low; it's FLAT. I'm betting the impulse is fairly stout from such a compact, 8 pound 7.62mm.

I still don't care for tacticool, but it does solve the problem of left handed shooters and bull pups without having to switch anything from one side to the other. Being a left handed shooter, I never gave a nit for the bull pup idea and really don't see the need other than it stores more compact than a conventional rifle. At least this one is in a decent caliber. .22s don't excite me and 7.62x39 is just a 30 caliber that's been castrated. I own a couple, but their ballistics don't impress me. .308 is a REAL rifle caliber.

Well it's not out yet, but they are considering the 7.62x39mm if the .308 sells well. I doubt there are any plans for a 9mm variant.

The only problem is that with all that metal blocking the chamber, it might be rather difficult to clear after a malfunction. If that's not an issue, I'd definitely like to get one.
