There is a S&W 9mm and .40 sale at Academy Sport & Outdoor and other S&W dealers around the nation.
Their sale of S&W Sigma SW9VE & Sigma SW40VE - says "buy a Sigma from Oct. 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009, and get either a mail-in $50 rebate OR 2 free magazines". That meant at academy my SW40VE cost me $279 out the door. ![]() There is a hard trigger pull on this gun, but some people actually like it that way. I don't - but S&W will lighten it for free - and S&W will pay the shipping each way. There were some problems with old Sigma's (5 to 10 years ago), but those problems have all been fixed on the new Sigma's. I've shot mine and really like the way it handles = No problems with the new ones. They are a great gun for $279 - $250 + tax for a gun w/lifetime warranty. |

Pulled the trigger...
I went back to the place where they had the 10/22 carbine with a scope and had to have it I paid $195 for it or $224 with tax, processing fee, snap caps and 100 rounds.
The gun is in a wood stock with a serial number in the 124-xxxx range which makes it how old? It has the metal trigger group too. It came with a Bushnell scope and once I loaded the gun with the caps the trigger pull seems pretty light with hardly any slack. I wonder if it was worked over already... ![]() The only bad thing was due to my stupid NY driver's license they took away the 25 round magazine and gave me a 10 rounder. ![]() here is a quick picture...

I got my first scoped rifle, a lightly used 10/22 from the local show.
A whole new skill to learn, yay!

just picked it up today
Ruger LCP, just got it today. Will use when no room to carry Glock 19. Took it out in the woods, fired a few rounds. 380 probably too small, sights not as good as Glock of course.
But, it slips right in to my pocket an will be great in Florida on the beach and on a bike. Dang little thing kicks a bit. |

I got a Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle a few weeks back. I'd wanted one for 30 years and finally got my hands on one. It's the new 580 series with a 20rd magazine.

XDm 9mm od green frame I bought a few weeks ago. Have had a XD-45 for years, and when I decided I needed (ok, wanted) a 9 mainly for target shooting it was an easy decision to make. A full sized handgun that holds 20rnds (even if they are 9mm
) could also be handy in bad situations.

Very early Ruger 77/44 bolt action rifle. One of first 300, based on ruger serial list! Found it after looking for months at the last Big Gun Show in Puyallup!

Picked up a well-used Browning take-down .22 auto on the cheap at a rural pawn shop.
I plan to have this one threaded for use with my rimfire suppressor (something I probably would never have done to either of my nicer TD22s...). |

Brought it home last night. Fun Walter Mitty range toy. And I still have my 1st gun, a Rem. .22lr #06, after 37 years. |
