The guy I bought it from rubbed it with steel wool and tru oiled it. I think he might have steamed out some other dings. I have a pretty low tolerance for milsurp bubba mods, but this falls well within that tolerance for me.

Yep, I'd say he did a pretty fair job; definitely no bubba there.

I think it was a Colt Diamondback about 18 months ago.

Then, again, I "think" I put pants on before going to work this morning...

I got that little sixgun on a really good deal, and it's a pretty good shooter. It had been sitting in some guy's safe for years, it appears. When he passed, the family sold off all his guns and I made a really quick deal for the Diamondback.. 4-inch bbl.

Nothing wrong with the .38 Special cartridge.

Hey, does your SR22 feed bulk ammo as well as HV ammo?

So far so good! In the middle of a 2000-round torture test. No cleaning, no oiling, all kinds of ammo. Follow the results here:

I managed to parlay my 6946 that I just bought a couple pages back and my 3rd gen Detective Special into a Colt DS II and a 6926 It also took about $300 but I'm tickeled the DS ii is a better match to my stainless Python. Now for another order to Jim Badger any how here's pics.

just sold a gun to buy a gun, finally got my 2nd 1911, a Cimarron (Armscor), and i LOVE it! Great deal from Phil Rezac LLC, just picked 'er up yesterday
got some ajax grips for it too, they contrast yet match with my other 1911 quite well, which is high-polish stainless with dark blue and black marble panels.

the 'spots' seen are actually reflection of a leopard-print sheet that we use as a tapestry-like lampshade for my living room ceiling

GSG 1911 .22lr--Got a good buy on this (will post pics when I get it next week--first gun I have purchased via galleryofguns but the store is literally less than one mile from my house so it feels good supporting a local economy/gun shop). I have had a job change in the last year and I just can't shoot my 9/45/12 as much as I used to. I plan on shooting thousands of rounds of .22lr annually via my new 1911 as well as a couple of .22lr rifle--I have a nice Marlin that I plan on leaving the wood alone but I am seriously thinking about converting my 10/22 into a tactical-like look just because if I will be shooting .22lr ammo now probably 80% of the time in an attempt to break the monotony.

-Cheers

A road trip will be on I-20 through Anniston AL in a few weeks.
The Next, Last rifle can be imagined by some of you, if that leg is on a weekday.

It would be better Not to have such temptation.
