Good guess, but almost everybody says that Service Grades have been cleaned out. A friend who still has contacts on a military rifle team seems to believe that the CMP has a large number of them, but but need a good bit of time for the detailed evaluations. |

I saw your post over in rifle country--I have a few .22 rifles but I really like the furniture on your WF model 32. Is that made by Mossberg?
I have been researching .22lr accuracy and need to see if the bolt-action is indeed more accurate than say a 10/22 or even stock Marlin 60. -Cheers

I've got a CMMG in 300 BLK on order and a RRA 458 SOCOM upper on order. I'm guessing it's going to be another month or so before either of them arrives. I hate waiting.

Finally got my shiny new lovely Kel-Tec RFB......7.62 NATO bullpup, 18.5" barrel in a 26.5" package...considering I live in New Jersey a minor miracle in it's own right.

Ask and ye shall receive.....cheap and cheerful NC sight on it at the moment, I have a Millet 1-4 DMS on order which will be a better fit for me.
Unthreaded barrel, no flash hider/muzzle brake which is how I got it into NJ. The nice people at Kel-Tec worked with me for several months and sprang me one of their Canadian build models.....officially this is .308 not a 7.62....

Given that a brake or flash suppressor deflects gas and blast back towards the shooter, it may be just as well that you didn't get one.
I've read where people who shot neutered ARs reported less perceived report than with rifles equipped with the things. Perceptions, of course, can vary widely.

Sounds as if I need to bump a Garand up a little higher on my list if I aim to get a decent price on one. Quote:

I just picked up a couple of 30 year old Ruger .357 revolvers. A Ruger 2.75" Speed Six with the original box and papers, also a Security Six with a 4" barrel.

does ordering count?
I emulated Rittmeister and ordered a faux CCO from RIA compact frame, commander upper, trijicon nightsights ... this is the first time Ive had a gun made just for me, it was surprisingly easy, and I'm going nuts watching the fedex tracking numbers, I've got a range bag by the door with a basic cleaning kit, ammo, and mags.
