Looking for Mil-Tech(?) Fanny Pack
I recently say someone with a really neat fanny pack. It was black cordura (of course) and was only as big as a CD player case. The main compartment held the grip of the weapon and the slide fit into the waistband portion of the pack, making for a much smaller overall appearance. He told me that he purchased it from a company named "Mil-Tech" I conducted a search on the web and can only find a company that sells nylon belt holster but no fanny packs. I am not sure if I am spelling the name correctly, any info would help. If any one has one lying around that they would be interested in selling even better. Thanks

I received an email from a friend who saw your post, but is no longer a THR member so he asked me to pass along some info to you about the pack.
Here is what he says, "It is quite remarkable in that it looks like a small square pack when you are wearing it, but I stuff a S&W 44 Mag Mountain Gun in the pouch when I take to the field in Bear country. It gives the appearance of a cd player or some small gear box, but the square shape looks nothing like a gunny fanny pack. One of the neatest purchases I’ve made in a while. Please pass this on to PeacefulWarrior. I’ll send him a picture if he wants one, but tell him I am not interested in selling mine." He also sent the following link to where you can order it: http://www.myppt.com/misc2.htm |

that link does not work. You need to go to http://myppt.com and scroll down the left side frame until you get to "misc 2" then hit that and it will take you there.
Picture quality could be better but it does look like a neat idea. And I've had nothing but bad experiences with fanny packs.

The first couple of times I hit it, I got a 404 message. Works now though.

I'm not wild about fanny-packs either, but a couple of months ago at an IDPA Back-up Gun match, a fella showed up with one of these. It is about the only fanny-pack I know that doesn't shout "YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT I'M CARRYING A GUN INSIDE THIS FANNY-PACK!" It's also a bit cheaper than your "THIS-IS-SUPPOSED-TO-MAKE-YOU-THINK-I'VE-GOT-A-CD-PLAYER, BUT-WE-BOTH-KNOW-IT'S-REALLY-A-GUN" fanny-pack.
