I found this while in Gander Mountain looking at the used guns. I figured, "Oh, it's a Witness with a rail." but when I looked closer, it said this on it.

(crappy camera phone incoming)

It says Czech Republic on it, but it's a .45 and has a rail, as well as being polymer and a different frame size as the CZ 97. I asked the rep to get it out of the case, and even he told me that everyone there was baffled by the gun. Not even the power of Google could tell them what it was. Asking price was around 400 dollars.

was it a TT 45??
think they were imported by Adco for a time..

they are not made by same CZUB that makes the 75b series.

If they arn't made by CZ, why is there a CZ logo on the grip?

there are couple of different CZ factories..I believe the company got split up..and each company makes its own product.

I believe these are the companies that CZ split into..CZUB is the maker the 75b series that is represented by CZ-USA

Yeah, it's the CZ-TT, but it was fullsize and had a rail. Pictures are above in my initial post.

I really should have gotten one of these in .40 a long time ago. If it serves me as well as the 9mm CZ75 has, I'll be very, happy.

It wasn't cheap. A little over $500 after shipping, transfer fees, and tax. My 9mm was just a tad over $350 OTD back in 2001. However, I'm pretty happy with it. I haven't had a chance to run my standard 200 hundred round field test yet, but so far so good. The trigger is starting to smooth out a bit after some dry firing. I need to run a few thousand 22LR though it with my Kadet to smooth it out some more.

40S&W CZ75B, along with it's older brother, a 1996 9mm CZ75B Mil.

Does anyone know if they make a 75 Decocker in stainless steel. I saw a
75SA in stainless for $574 at the local gun shop. I'm fine with SA, but I
would prefer a decocker model.

I was the local gunstore yesterday and noticed a stainless CZ-97b. The gun was new, never fired. I went home and checked the CZ catalog and don't see stainless as an option for the 97b.

Anyone else ever seen a stainless 97b? Is it a rare limited edition or what?

Also, can anyone here say anything about good (or bad) the CZ-75 SA? I am considering this gun. Not sure if I should do the CZ-75 SA or the P-01. It would just be another range gun for fun.... I already have a very low numbered 97b and a 452 bolt action.

Was likely an RSR special run of the 97B in Satin Nickel - which I think looks better than the stainless.

Yeah, the finish on that 97b was a slightly different color than the regular 75 stainless color. The 97b was a slightly more brown/tanish looking color. Again, just a hint of brown/tan. What is RSR? Is the RSR 97b rare?

Deer Hunter and others, Czeska Zbjrovoka is simply "Arms Factory" in Czech, and is NOT trademarkable. That is why you will find other guns with a CZ name on it. Look for the CZ-UB logo. That means it is from our CZ, and through CZ-USA.

The handgun in the symbol looks more like a Glock than a CZ75. I'd have thought the Bohemians were better artists than that.

DMK, it's stylized! That's art, right?

If not, well, maybe it was one of those Moravians. (Like Mr. Miculek, for example! His name would have a haček over the "c," and that is indeed how he pronounces it: "Mičulek." Turns out a bunch of 'em came to Texas in the decade or two before the Civil War.)

I was so impressed with my surplus CZ-82, that I went to look at the Z5. The trouble I had was that it didn't seem to fit my hand as well as some others, such as the Sigma and Cougar. So I took a pass for now. But what a great looking gun. Great reviews as well.

Here's a picture of my RSR satin nickel CZ97B. I believe that there were 60 of these that were brought into the country. Also another 60 that were two-tone.
