As for the RAMI and Kadet Kit. My experience was two-fold. Yes, the kit does fit and function. Only if the ammo works. Well.. I don't know if it is a firing pin thing or just the ammo that I was using. I used two brands. Augila and Winchester. Will put the Kadet Kit on my 75 and try it next week or so. If I still have problems, then it will be the firing pin.

usually with the kadet kit it's like any other semi-auto pistol conversion.... needing strong ammo to cycle the slide. cci mini-mags are pretty much the only thing that works for everyone at the lowest price iirc @ 6 bucks/100 rounds. still cheaper than 9mm!

CZ club
I have most of the CZ's on the market as my personal guns. (No RAMI's) I don't do much in plastic guns.
But you just can't beat a CZ-85 combat. I found another one NIB from 1994. I had to shoot it, it's a keeper. I've got a 85 Combat that's brit blue with Hakin peks grips.(one of my Favorites) But you can't got wrong with a CZ Champion. (mines 9mm) or a Tacial Sport(mines .40). But for carrie?? the 75D or P-01 are hard to beat.(ok, 82's and 83's are there but they are not kind to old hands like mine). CZ makes some of the most accurate .40s on the market and the old plain 75B in .40 is one of the most accurate there is. I"m either going to try to do a trigger job on my SP-01 or my P-01 next(on the BD) I have to do it, because with so many guns I can't afford to send them out. OK, yes, I have a 01FFL. I sell guns, shoot them and sell a few. (not quite as many as I wouild liike to sell, but trust me, I've got MY guns.) Pat |

Does anyone by chance have a how-to on taking a CZ82 down to brass tacks? I want to refinish mine and will need to do some blasting work on it.

Basically same gun looks and size wise... just a different caliber... and mag capacity 10/14!
Go to CZ Forum, they'll give you some in-depth discussion.

The P-06 is a .40 cal. Atleast the one sitting next to the SP-01 I bought was.
I took the SP-01 out this afternoon for the first time. Only fired 50rds of Blazer Brass through it, but man are you guys right about these CZs. At 10 yds I could easily make one big hole in the target. Of course I still get a few flyers when I first start, or when I start shooting fast. But Im definitely impressed. Now for some more mags and holster. Another plus the CZ mags fit my XD mag carrier pretty well.

I just put a full mag through the 10 ring in a 25 yard slowfire NRA pistol target for the first time ever - one jagged hole at an honest 25 yards away.
Wasn't done with my Wilson, not the Sig 210 or even the S&W 38/44 tackdriver I have. . . was accomplished with my humble milsurp '88 vintage CZ 82. WOW. Two hand S/A slow fire while standing rested on the side of the range lane. Was even using cheap Brown Bear ammo at that. (Can you all tell I'm impressed with the old CZ!) |
