Just got a CZ-75B this weekend! It's satin nickel and sweet to the touch. Can't wait to get to the range!

Have CZ prices gone up lately? I've seen them going for a LOT more than I remember at my local pawn shop.

new cz owner

hello all. I bought my first gun the other day. a used cz 75b in 40cal. it came with 5 extra mags and houge grips for 450. I wanted a 9mm but he made me fire the 40 cal and I loved it. it has some wear and tear but it fires beautifully and is more accurate then I am. anyone have any tips on cleans on my cz to give it a nice shine?

well, i can tell you what not too do IMO. as a first time gun owner, i sprayed clp a lil too liberally and didn't let it dry enough before putting it back into the case. that's a no no. it is now in the foam and re-soaks the outside of the gun if i put it back in the case.

that said, try using grease instead of oil on the rails. i used oil and gets everywhere, i hardly put any on and i have clp and oil leaking out of the slide stop lol.

look at czforumsite.info. lots of good stuff there, they all recommend weapon-shield i think

I'm joining! See Pancakeofdeoom's picture above, nothing amazing about another stock PCR photo.

A little dissapointed that mine came with the 10-round magazines. But there are two, and that gives me a perfect excuse to buy more.

No, for the first break-in and lube, does anyone recommend a specific oil, or is the Mobil 1 10W-30 that my S&W gets fine?

I have used Weapon Shield on everything since I found out about, have never used a motor oil of any kind, sorry.

Purchased a RAMI 2075P, 9mm one week ago, disappointed

I took the gun to the range and put approximately 100 rounds through her. The gun was reasonably accurate and performed flawlessly, but the trigger is inferior to those on my other pistols. I found the trigger surface to be too narrow and frankly uncomfortable when fired. The trigger reset so hard after firing that it actually bruised my finger. I will contact CZ custom and see if they make a different trigger with a wider surface similiar to my XD's or Beretta's. I am going to seek a trigger job to reduce the take up when firing. I love the size of the gun, capacity, and the way it fits my hand, but I am very unhappy with the trigger.

I own the following pistols and have never experienced anything like this. Any suggestions to remedy the CZ trigger issue appreciated.

Beretta PX4, 9mm
Beretta PX4SC, 9mm
Beretta 92FS, Inox, 9mm
Beretta 84F, 380
Walther PPS, 9mm
XD9sc
XD45c
XDM, 9mm
XDM, 40
Kahr PM9
Kahr P380
Multiple S&W revolvers 38 and 357

WRGADog, I would whole heartedly endorse a trigger job from CZ Custom. I have handled several examples of hier work, and it is stellar. Sorry the trigger wasn't that good, my wifes has always been good. Angus and his crew can definately help you out.

I'm having a blast admiring all those CZ's, and I'm also pleased to find an active CZ thread to enjoy.

I hope in the near future to add to my 82 and 527 American in .204 Ruger a new (or gently used) satin stainless 75 or 85 in .40. I already have a Kadet kit, and intend to add an aftermarket barrel in 9mm so that I can have several options to shoot.

Maybe I'm crazy, but in investigating the choices on the CZ website and via the sometimes pretty quiet CZ forum it seems like the "original" differences between model 75's and 85's (ambidextrous controls and adjustable sights on the 85) are sometimes found on either model, especially in the custom shop ?

The more I read the less clear the diffences seem to be, so could any of you that are familiar with the options key me in on what to shop for ?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

BTW, CZF is gaining new members to the tune of 5-10 a day, and we are starting to pick up some speed...plus all the dadgum giveaways I just can't stop doing...
I don't have a CZ-75B or 85, I have all compacts. The 75B I did fire was great. If you want ambi controls in a full size, 85, otherwise, 75 is just fine.

Hey Jersey.......

....and I like the description of your state. Great pictures and welcome aboard. I have the twin to your "B" and it's my all time favorite pistol. I'm not a collector....last count I had eight pistols iin the safe but I always go back to the 75B to really enjoy a range day. I know that you'll probaby never part with yours.....enjoy!!!! By the way, I've tried to dress up mine with rosewood grips and another set that I've even forgotten the wood they're made from but always go back to the original grips. In my opinion you just cant improve on perfection!!!!!

Just got my CZ 82 last week and I'm very happy. It's gotta be one of the best handgun values on the market. I really wanted the 75 Compact or PCR but I'll have to settle on this one for now.

Yeah the CZ is my first gun, wont be my last CZ either. Ive shot quite a few guns trying to make my decision, And I kept going back to the CZ. It fits in your hand like it was custom made for you.Your right, you cant improve on perfection. The CZ just stares at you and says "Pick me up and shoot me!"

A Cz Club! Cool. I was toying with the idea of starting one but here it is already

I've had a Vz52 for some time too. Mine is probably one of the few that actually work reliably 100% of the time and sights are dead on - good enough for concealed carry as my 2nd pistol (my primary is a .45). Of course, I did replace the rollers, firing pin and springs with newer and better ones (Harrington & Wolff). I have a really nice Falco shoulder and OWB holster for it too.
