Had a great day today.......weather here in mid-south in 70's, sunny and trees dropping their colorful leaves........yep, had to go. Hit the range in the Ozark Foothills about 1PM and put 150 rounds of Wally World Winchester and Remington ammo through the 75B. Never stuttered once. Then got out my trusty circa 1968 High Standard Sharpshooter.22 and ran another 200 round through it. Both pistols amaze me in their reliability and accuracy. This has nothing to do with the original post I guess, but had to share!

Rami
Picked up a Rami 9mm alloy and added a pair of 14 rd mags and a beautiful pair of grips from Hakin Pek & night sights. Love mine and trigger is great even in double action! I suppose CZ has now realized just how the public is taking to the line as their prices sure have climbed last several months.

I'd like to have a Rami also but my safe is bulging. I've intentionally lost count so if the Redhead asks me how many guns I have, I can truthfully say, well, I'm not really sure!

Here's a question for you experts:
What magazines will fit a 75B .40 S&W flush with the grip ? I've gotten answers all the way from only the 10 rounders all the way up to 17, both online and on the phone. I love the folks that say, "Well, based on the picture on our web site it appears that it will fit flush with the grip".............These days the people on the phone might be a long way from the product on the shelf, so getting them to go look at something just so you are sure of what you can expect when it is delivered is usually not an option. But almost all of them will take them back if not as expected.......... Thanks for any help offered. Pyzon |

I have both a ten and 16 round mag for my 9mm 75B. The 16 round clip actually has a thinner base than the 10 round, believe it or not! So overall gun height, the 16 makes it shorter......not sure about the 40 though. The added capacity is an internal thing and not accomplished by making the mag taller.

In 75B 9mm the the 16 is the standard mag, the 10 rounder has an internal block to limit capacity for states that require it, like California.
The 17rd 40 cal mag is for the Tactical Sport/old IPSC gun only. A mag extension is available for it to get 20 rd capacity. Ole Codger: I have a High Standard Sharpshooter from the same time frame. It still looks and shoots great. It only likes CCI Std velocity and a few others. Spits up with Win or Rem cheapies. Last edited by 1SOW; November 5, 2009 at 11:36 PM. |

Brian, sure like your signature block. AMEN!
1SOW, the High Standards were quite a piece. I also have a '107 Military that is quite a shooter. MidwayUSA had a clearance on Wolff recoil and trigger springs a couple of weeks back for High Standards and I bought 5 packs for insurance against the future (factory spec 5.5 pound).....yeah and I'm going on 72 years of age!. Bought both pistols through Guns America from the same individual a couple of months apart. Both when cleaned and rubbed down with a little Break Free look like new pistols. By the way I'm from the old school when it comes to lube......if it "ain't drippin" it needs oiling! I'll take my chances with the "dust" and burned powder wear! Haven't tried the CCI's in mine but they both do fine with the Federal Premium Gold Metal "711B's" which are also sub-sonic. As I said earlier, the 75B and HS's are my favorite range guns. Sorry fellers, didn't mean to try to turn this into a High Standard thread!

Hey all. I was wondering if anyone had any info on those Sarsilmaz pistols Academy sells? They look exactly like a cloned CZ-75 and feel pretty good, for the price. Anyone know how they perform?
Sorry if I sound like one of the standard "i dont wana pay for quality stuff" folks. I just dont have the budget to go there. Saw the clones and was skeptical/impressed, but Im looking to see if I can find out any more than just that there Turkish made and the police/military over there uses them. Thanks |

Hakan has only produced 2 sets of CZF grips.
They were for myself and went to another CZforum.com Staff member. His work is impeccable. ![]() ------------------------------------------------- http://imageseek.com/hakan/

Sarsilmaz is a quality pistol. They may be a cZ clone, but are more like a Tangfolio clone. The Armalite AR24 pistols are made by Sarsilmaz. Go online to www.sarsilmaz.com and see their full line and read their history.

I was impressed with the AR-24 that I handled.
I'm not so sure that if didn't have any Tanfoglio parts.

Sarsilmaz was a Tanfoglio distributor before they started making thier clone of a clone. Good solid guns from what I am told.
