Comp-tech holster question

This is my try before I buy.

Anyone here have a comp-tech paddle (FBI cant). My question is how close to the body does the holster hold the gun. I am going to use it for a 1911.

I have a belt loop blade-tech and don't use it for carry it holds my 92 out to far for comfort. I usually carry a leather pancake type. I am hoping the comp-tech is somewhere in the middle.

Any experience with these would be great. Tired of adding holsters to the "holster draw" Thanks

How close this holster holds the gun to your body depends on your body shape and how tight your belt is.

Belt slide holsters always seem to ride closer than paddles. Paddles win for convenience and are quite comfortable. Paddles can slide around your waist, especially after repeated drawing: grip tape is your friend.

Give me until Friday and I can post a picture of a Comp-Tac FBI cant holster with an H&K.
