Question Milt Sparks Watch Six

Hey everybody, I've been looking around the internet for IWB holsters and came accross the Milt Sparks Watch Six and the Versa Max II. Does anybody use the Watch Six here? What is the differance between it and the VMII? (besides about $40). I like the design ('wings' to the sides) as it looks like it will hold the gun closer to your body making it easier to conceal. Are there any other holsters out there with similar designs?

I have a W6 for my BHP and it's my primary carry combination. I've also got a VMII for a 1911 Gov't model, and have tried a W6 for a Commander.

The W6 is just two layers of horsehide, and is very thin. It has no reinforcement in the mouth, so reholstering could be harder if the holster "collapses." I've had very good luck with the molding quality and stiffness of the leather so far.

The VMII is thicker. It has a metal reinforced mouth, so it cannot collapse. The loops are arranged with a spacer for proper alignment - it's hard to explain, with the consequence that the loops are a little more bulky.

Supposedly the VMII is "tuckable", but I haven't used that feature.

I've got the Watch Six for a Glock 19. That is my main carry rig. I like it alot. As a matter of fact, I don't use any of my other holsters anymore.

I've never used the VM2, but if you are planning on unholstering and reholstering alot, it might be more convenient. Otherwise I think the slimness of the Watch Six is better.

I don't think you could go wrong either way.
