Scope for Ruger Super Redhawk .44 mag

I bought a Ruger Super Redhawk in .44 magnum about 6 months ago and I've been wanting to put a scope on it ever since. I know the Leupold's with their extended eye relief would be nice but I don't have that kind of cash right now. Are their any decent priced scopes that hold up well with a .44? I was thinking of probably a fixed 4x but maybe a fixed 2x preferably with extended eye relief. Any help is appreciated.

I had a SRH for a number of years that wore a Tasco world class 2X. I had no problems and the scope went new for under $100.00.

Don't skimp on a .44 mag revolver scope, it will end up costing you more in the long run. Check www.samplelist.com for used or demo. Leupolds. The lowest end scope (new) that is worth the money is the Elite 3200 by Bushenll and right now you get a coupon for a FREE $99.95 rain parka when you buy one.

If you are going to use it for target, or varmint, a 4X will work. If you plan on using it in the woods for whitetails, put a 2X on it. I am not going to bash any brand, but with the recoil of the .44 mag, you will get what you pay for. I have been very satisfied with my Burris and Leupold scopes, so that are the only 2 brands that I can comment on.
