I can honestly say I have never bought a cheap firearm. I would rather save and get quality. I am not some superior or rich person or even a snob. I just am a firm believer in the saying that you get what you pay for!

Both of mine cost the exact same. Glock 19 w/ns and Glock 26 with ns. Exact same price from same dealer.

Not cheap
Just not a lot of money. Used Model 10 IIRC $75 some years ago.
Sold it later for $ 125. I Know...should have kept it.

A used Raven for $35 back in the '80's------What a POS!!!!
Only worked as single shot---sold it for $25. I feel dirty even talking about it. |

Well..how about almost bought?
A buddy of mine needed some money so he decided to sell one of his wife's guns. Went over and found out it was a nickel plated Jennings .25 auto with pink grips. I just loaned him the $40 and told him to keep it. ![]() Good Shooting Red

I bought a older S&W 586 w/ 6" barrel for $50. Later learned it was used & abused. I ended up cleaning it up and selling it for something I could use.

10-Ring - why couldn't that S&W be repaired? What was so wrong with it that it wasn't cost effective to fix it and return it to service. BTW, $50 is a great buy on your part.
My cheapest buy was an "estate" type sale where I picked up 3 guns for $125. The S&W revolver in the group had an aftermarket cylinder and bbl.

4v50 Gary - this happend many many many many years ago. I wasn't to knowledgable re: gunsmiths, S&W revolvers and what I really had. I figured if the guy was really willing to let it go for $50 it must really be worth about $50. I did make money on the deal when I sold it, tho (isn't that the American way?)

A Soviet Nagant revolver made in 1944. $80.00
The same gun was going for $50.00 to people who had C&R licenses.

FIE Titan .25, believe it or not the darn little thing was 100% reliable and reasonably accurate. Bought it for $59. Sold it, but wouldn't mind finding another.

A British Webley revolver in 38 S&W made in WWII. I paid $75 for it. It had tooling marks all over it and a really ugly finish. I was dry firing it at home when it froze up. A gun smith told me a part was broken (I can't remember what it was called) and there were no replacement parts for it. "Just hang it on the wall" he said. I sold it in a pawn shop for $25. I never did get to fire that gun.

Bought a Phoenix HP22 for $75.00. Turned out to be a fun plinker. Put a lot of rounds through it but eventually sold it to a relative.

The cheapest (and by cheap, I mean inexpensive) handgun I ever bought was a CZ-52. Money well spent if you ask me. Now to track down some .223 Timbs ammo... The cheapest, brand new handgun I ever purchased was a Republic Arms Patriot. Again, money well spent. I've had good luck with inexpensive handguns I guess...
