Bang Bang: I always thought it would rule to have a Dan Wesson with a 16" barrel and a stock. You came pretty close!
![]() Have you noticed any problems with the long barrel going slack inside the shroud during long sessions? (heat expansion)

Cocked and Locked, you owe me a keyboard. Mine shorted out from all the drooling over that 629 with the blued frame and nickeled cylinder and barrel.

To tell you the truth about the 15 inch barrel's performance, I haven't shot but maybe 15 rounds out of the "Dirty Harry" barrel. The last time I shot it, it grouped very well at 50 yards, maybe a 3 inch group or so. I aslo had a bad experience with it. Stupid me wanted to hold it like a rifle....powder grainules ended up in my thumb for weeks
![]() I shoot the 4 inch barrel on it whenever I go hunting or plinking. Most of the time though it stays in the sock drawer with some JHP's. Next pics of it will be with bipods and sling

Nice pre 23!!! One of the holes in my smith collection that needs to be filled. They are just not around anymore. You'll see one pop up on Gun broker now and then but they are always the 6.5" and they want WAY WAY too much for them. Theres one right now for $1,500 Last one sold for around $1,300. Thats just insane.

Kind of a rare one. Only 3000 of these were ever made. They were made for the NY State police, but the contract was canceled after the gun was already produced.
A Smith and Wesson 520 N frame 357 fixed sights. I think Smith forgot they made this when they brought out the new 520. ![]()
