![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When US Firearms was know as US Pat. Firearms they made a small run of rimfires...this was before the current generations of Plinkers and 22/12s. I found this one in a shop in Connecticut not far from the factory. As it was a .22 Magnum, one of my favorite cartridges, I bought it. When visiting my parents I brought the gun to USFA to see if I could get some information on it. Turns out there were only about 20 rimfire guns made during that time that were marked "US Pat. Firearms Co." and only two were in .22 Magnum..and the other one is still at the factory. The only difference is that the one still at the factory has walnut grips.... Turns out that this gun had been on display in their Gun Library and a visitor asked to buy it...and they sold it to him. He apparently sold it unfired to the shop I bought it from. I have since fired it and have lettered then gun. Mine was the second gun made. While on another trip to the factory and looking through the Gun Library I came across the parts for a third .22 Magnum in their parts display bin that had never been assembled. The .22 Magnum marking on the barrel was hand engraved as since USFAs knew it was only making two they didn't want to bother making a roll stamp.. Bob |

Hello friends and neighbors // This thread keeps getting better, love the variety.
mesinge2 ..thanks for the nod to the old Speed Six. The stainless steel snubbie is .38 only. Love my .357s but I think the .38 snubbie is a fine CCW.

Saturday, I visited a LGS, looking at the selection of revolvers on hand. They're primarily an over-grown "cop shop" specializing in semi-autos, tacti-cool stuff, lots of Kydex holsters, etc. However, I've been able to get some good deals on revolvers, since people bring them in and trade for the latest plastic fantastic. I've picked up a nice, 4" nickel Python; S&W Model 586 4", blue; S&W Model 41; Colt Match Target, 3rd Model; and Saturday, a S&W Model 27-2, 5" barrel, Triple T's. Balances better than my 4" models.

Model 60-4 bought new in 2012!
I happened to get a new in the box 60-4 last week. It was supposed to be a new model 60 and the distributor sent this one. Might have been a mistake but I am very happy with it. Here are some pics.

Just picked this up last week. Had it on order somewhere else and another shop had it in stock (they got it in the day I stopped by). Cancelled the order at the first shop and picked her up. Have gotten about 300 or so rounds thru her and am truly lovin it. Only one problem with her... she's made it so I want another wheel gun!!!
