Like Paul Harvey used to say : " Now..the rest of the storey"...

My Walker was a gun show find...
The frame was FULL of residue, found the remains of 3 or 4 caps, lots of rust, and a broke trigger spring...
...and some kinda blue grease/gunk .
Case colors on the recoil shield (?) gone..but not rusted anymore either
VTI Uberti spring, ('bout 1/8" too long) Dremel mod and it's working great..
Managed to get the rest of the stuff KROIL'd and broke loose.
Didn't try to restore to showroom new, just cleaned and derustified..
and.. touched up (filed/stoned) what I thought was some rough edges...
Oh, and six new nipples...

Howdy. A few months ago I started watching the series Deadwood on DVD. By the end of the 3rd episode I had to have a '51 Navy. It's on backorder with Buffalo Arms. Then I started to read this thread and after 4 or 5 pages I had the fever and was hooked. My Walker just came today. Back in the 70s I burned some powder with a kit '51 Navy. Now as soon as I can get my accessories together I'm headed for the range to make some serious smoke, fire, and noise. Sign me up! IMG_4093 (Large).JPG
