The problem in your post above is that you are missing the forward slash in the last delimiter. It should say /IMG inside the square brackets at the end of the string. The IMG inside the square brackets at the beginning of the string does not have the slash, which is correct. Only the one at the end needs it.
I tried to correct and use the string to post your picture by inserting the forward slash mark, but Photobucket says your image file was deleted. |

I have two: a Uberti and an Armi San Marco.
By the way, on the last membership list, Brett Dixon is listed twice, No.26 & No. 35. |

well thanks to uncle sam and the tax relief. i bought a conversion cylinder for my WALKER got it from midway. $234 delivered. Cant wait to get it. im planning on loading up 1 cylinder black, then 1 cylinder 45colt. then switch back and forth. This is going to be fun. now i just need to order a set of dies. as i only have 45acp.

Scrat, I'd recommend you load the .45Colt with the Holy Black too. From what I've gathered through the years the two don't mix well in the barrel.
I sure do like my R&D conversion cylinder. Kinda a fantasy of mine, but I'd like to ream the cylinder out a bit longer so it would take .460S&W hulls. I'd guess they'll hold around 60 grains of FFg. Don't worry, even if I ever did it I'd never shoot smokeless loads through it. I may be dumb, but I'm not an idiot.

yep thats what im going to do. i need to get some more shells i only have about 30. I figure i could just buy a box of black hills ammo. After that just reload my own. looks like i need to start casting again. All my 45's are hard cast lead. So i need to cast some soft lead.

I believe you would never do it but how about the next guy to own it? Not trying to make you responsible for the future owner but it is something to think about. I used to have a fool proof method for reloading my 45-70 ammo so no ammo for my Siamese Mauser would be used in my trapdoor. Turns out my buddy did not understand my system. Fortunately, I got to him before he pulled the trigger. Since then, I am leary of things that might go astray of plans. Good luck with the conversion but think about the rechambering idea. |

As far as responsibility goes... The gun is marked 'blackpowder only' on the barrel. This means smokeless is not be used. If that is already too hard to understand, the person should not be handling any gun. Some risks could come with original guns, like rifles, that someone could load with hot smokeless rounds. No 'BP only' markings on them. But only if the individual does not know what he/she is doing. Guns are not toys. If you don't know what you do, you should stay away from that particular gun (or all guns) anyways. You can never assume anything, you must know. Get educated first or go home. Hildo |

Even if I did make a .460 S&W Walker cylinder, I'd never sell it to someone else.
Actually, I'm not sure the Walker frame could stand the pressure and recoil of a 60 grain load under a 250 grain bullet. It was just a thought, and a thought that is not worth a good Walker or my hand. But if it could work, it sure would be fun.

How many stainless Walkers
did ASM make for CVA? Mine was made in 79. I cant find any information on these guns and I never see any being sold on the auctions. I've got to say I really like the one I have. All that ia stainless is the barrel, the cylinder and the wedge.
