My memory is that good but I remember reading something about the original Walkers being a 5 shot ..anyone know if this is so ?
( I do remember thinking it must be a miss print in the Mag. I was reading .) But just have never seen an Original eaither. |

No, all of the production Walkers were six shot - which is part of the reason it was so darn BIG...
![]() It is possible that a pre-production prototype was rigged up using older Patterson parts, but if so I've never seen anything about it. |

How do you like that lever-less Patterson? I know it doesn't compare to the Walker but it looks fun to shoot and load.

The paterson is very fun to shoot reload is slow because the barrel has to be removed for the tool to lock in but with paper cartriges it can be quicker, it shoots 7-8 inches high at 15 yards with 20 gr black powder

hi guys !!! Scrat invited me in here !
I am quite new on this forum, and as a gun collector I am also the owner of some black powder guns, including a certain number of cap&ball.. here is a recent picture of a part of it : ![]() of course, what drives me inside here, is that I am the owner of a Uberti replica of the legendary Colt Walker ! I add to this post, a selection of pictures I made when I got it, some years ago. here is Coltzilla ! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Colt familly picture ! Colt Walker (1847) Colt Navy (1851) Colt SAA (Frontier 44-40, 1873) Colt 1911A1 ![]() I hope that is enough to be part of this club !!!

Awsome, I would appreciate it. Years ago the grips on my Walker were finished. I would like to get original grips and I think the only ones available are Uberti.

VTI Gun Parts still lists grips for the ASM Walker as available. Give them a call.
