Evening Scrat. Yeah, I have tried several times over the last couple of hours or so. I'll hang with it a little while longer. I may get a couple posted.
Yeah the forum was freezing up so badly a couple of hours ago I almost shut it down.... My computer I mean.... |

You might as well add me to the list. I sent in my membership and my Walker is on it's way from Taylors. Should be here Friday and I'll post some pictures then.
Hopefully Taylors comes through with my request, I told them I'd prefer if they could pick one that doesn't have a straight grain grip, I like some figure or uniqueness to it. They said no problem since they had a bunch to choose from they'd pick one out for me. $385 after shipping! These are going up and up! My friends Walker was $295 from Blockade runner 2 years ago and most prices then were right around $300! Get a Walker while you can! Any recommended loads? I use 40 grains in my Uberti Dragoon, I might start there with the Walker. .457 balls and #10 remington caps should work fine since they do on the Dragoon. |

Bigbadgun fire's 50 or 55 grains, I forgot which.
I fire 48 grains in rough country. Triple Seven (3fff). My normal working load ranges from around 38 to 42 grains. Triple Seven (3fff). Remington #10's may be a little tight. The Uberti .44 Walker call's for #11's.... I just checked my First Model Dragoon's (still stripped down) manual and also called DGW and they call for #11's on the Dragoons also. I guess you do what you want to. It's your gun and you paid for it.... |

JCT Congrats on getting a Walker. I use .454 balls and #10 caps. Let me know how the .457 work, I may have to try them. 40 grains of Goex is what I started with also. Best of luck with the "holy Black". RugerBob
