Count me in too.
![]() My Walker and Hawkin are rewards for quitting 60 years of smoking. The Colt 51 is a 2nd edition that I have had for many years. I am about to earn myself another reward, I haven't decided whether it will be another Walker, or a Dragoon, or possibly a 61 Army or maybe...........? Lots of motivation for staying off tobacco.

Old Wornout Soldier - that Hawken is just beautiful. Well done. And it's not the only reward for staying off the cancer sticks.

Old Wornout Soldier--WELCOME ABOARD!!
Here Bro, take this cup of coffee. Hold on to it while I pour you a good shot of bourbon in it. Let me dig out my Zippo. [flick flick]... There you go! That coffee and Marlboro 100 Full Flavor is good ain't it? Damn right!! Welcome Aboard!!....Eh? What's that you say? Oh yeah!.. She's blonde and blue eyed and 19 year's old. I'll call her and get her over here if you want me to. She don't charge too much.... Last edited by GENTLEMAN OF THE CHARCOAL; February 28, 2008 at 05:53 PM. |

G of the C, thanks, the coffee and bourbon sounds good, the Marlborough would eventually kill me, but the 19 year old blond would kill me instantly and if she didn't my wife would.

Them sure are some nice looking Walkers you guys have out there. I took a friend to the range a few weeks ago and let him shoot mine. The following monday he went to buy one, and they was sold out. But he ordered one. Be a good time to have some stock in Pietta/Uberti. A new one from our local shop set him back $329.00. Enjoy the smoke, Bob

Good morning, Ruger Bob.
Yeah, prices are going up. Cabela's sell's the Walker for $399.99 straight out without the starter kit. They have been that same price there for years though. Cabela's is sort of like a Wal-Mart Superstore in a way. Cabela's sell's so much sporting and outdoor gear all over the world and has a such a high volume of sales, I'm hoping their prices will stay more or less along the same lines they're at now. I'm reasonably sure (not cast in stone) that they have a set agreement with all of their distribution centers. Well, they'vd got an old saying, Bob. "You pay for what you get and you get what you pay for". It's true to. There are no free lunches in America and no company gives anything away for free, no matter what they tell you.... Are the Cabelas Walkers all charcoal blued? The picture they always show is anyway, just wondering if anyone here could verify that.

Mine looks like the other photos posted in the group, with the case hardened frame, the bluing looks good on mine even with lots of use. I hope this helps.
Ps how do you join the walker group? |

Brett Dixon--If it came from Cabela's then it's a Uberti. Period..
You don't have to do anything to join except to ask so THR member Scrat can add your name to the member's list. It would be nice if you could post a photograph of your Walker but if you say you have one then I guess you have one. You may post a photograph at the time of your own choosing. We just like to look at each other's photographs is all. WELCOME ABOARD!!.... |

Hi GotC...
Hey... it is extremely easy to be cordial and helpful to 26 guys armed with Walkers ! ![]() Has anyone kept track of how many Walkers are owned "en toto" by this gang ? ![]() Y'know - when Ya think about it - that $349.99 at Midway is a price that competes favorably with almost any pistol a fellow could go buy except maybe some of the .22 lr models.
