you killed a doe with a 9mm? from how far? were you actually hunting deer actively? just curious

Hello. Distance was 40 yards with the deer almost exactly broadside and unaware I was there. This was the 4th I've killed with a 9mm, but passed on many others when anything was "wrong" or made me think I couldn't hit the animal correctly.
Yes, I was specifically hunting deer. I had the pistol if any close shots presented themselves, but also had a .30-06 at hand. We have no minimal power requirement in Texas for handguns as do other states, but I still don't shoot with any caliber unless I'm pretty well sure I can make the shot; any doubt, I don't fire. Best. |
